Entrance Preview

CUSAT-CAT 2012, got a rank of 3232 in payement category. Just got admission here where nowhere a hope. Can't wait for next yr to give exam.

Course Curriculum Overview

Per semester have to study 6 papers and rest two were labs. Last 3 semester elective papers were there like data mining, cryptography, software project management.

Internships Opportunities

About internship nothing. This is very bad. we have no such facility from college no help. We have to do on our own if interested but only in holiday otherwise attendance problem they are not giving any preference for that.

Placement Experience

Well about placement if you are all clear then you have a good chance of getting job here. Severals companies are coming and offering good money. Some companies in 2015 are tcs-3.5lakhs about 240 students got jobmusigma-5lakh 4 were placed etc.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fees is ok 35000 per semester.no hostel so expensive in living outside. First year fees is 83000 with admission charge. Now its change due to changes in rules and regulations. When i got admission first yr was not divided into semester now its divided.

Fees and Financial Aid

Scholarships are there for the students having top rank in university exams. College is providing 10000 to them.otherwise no extra scholarships.

Alumni/Alumna

Seniors are helpful and good in nature too. They understand our problems and try to solve it. About alumni network some people are there who can help specially our faculty members. Principal was not so much cooperative.

Exam Structure

Exams and labs have separate dates. There is no problem in that. Sometime when in case of supplymentary exams its difficult to manage both regualr and supply exams as dates are just daily.

Faculty

Faculty was generally just fine they were talented but some of them lacks in english spoken so little problem in getting them sometime. Overall a good enviroment for studyng.

Students in 7th and 8th semester are eligible to sit for campus placements. Companies like Oracle, Goldman Sachs, L&T, Bajaj, Caterpillar and PSU's like BEL,HPCL and BPCL come to the college usually the coding companies offer aroung 35-40 LPA CTC and the core PSU companies offer around 17-18 LPA. Highest Package is 51 LPA and an Average Package of 12 LPA. Nearly 85% students from Circuit and CS branch get placed and around 60% in core branches who sit for placements, My plans after getting the degree is to join MBA to learn how business world works and how the money flows

College at the heart of kuttanad

The university is very much reputed when compared to other universities. It was my great wish from childhood onwards to study under Cochin University. The conducts an examination named CUSAT CAT (COMMON ADMISSION TEST) every year. Students can attend the computer-based test and ranklist will be published in the university website afterwards. Students with top ranks will be allotted. The overall admission procedure through 3 allotments and followed by spot allotment for which the student should be present at the university in the exact date and time informed by the officials.
