College life of b.tech student in Gurunanak engineering college

Every year there will be a state entrance test through which you can get admission into the state's top colleges if you secure a good rank. Notification will be released in March month every year and the exam name is EAMCET. Application fees are around 500. Those who have the reservation can avail of the benefit and there is also concession in fee structure for the reservation candidates. It takes one month to get the admission process done. I wish it could happen faster.

From starting I'm interested in the construction field so I have opted for civil engineering and the college I have got is one of the best colleges in the state for civil engineering. Faculty here have completed Ph.D. This provides better guidance to the students. The ratio of faculty to students is 2:60. Term exams are as per the calendar year schedule and timely. There is no delay in kind of exams.

Companies like Wipro, tcs, Deloitte, and Infosys came up with internship opportunities with & without stipend but surely with a lot of knowledge. Many companies came with stipends of around 3k-5k. Our faculty ensure that by the end of every semester we get our projects done to earn a new skill.

Placements are much better compared to surrounding Colleges. Around 80percent of students got placed through campus selection. Many companies come to college like Wipro,tcs, Deloitte, Infosys, sap etc according to it some go for masters and some joined the company in which they are placed.

The fee is 80 thousand in the brochure and is charged according to it, those who have reservations can avail of scholarship and they get a discount of 35 thousand. There is not as such private scholarship but can avail the government scholarship if eligible.

The best part is the college fest which is held every year in the month of December. Every year a new celebrity comes to our college who is well famous. During my academic year celebrity like honey Singh, Neha Kakkar came to our college and had great fun. There are two libraries one for all & one departmental-wise. The college is always ready to do everything for the benefit of students, helping and handling all events in college.
