Internship opportunities

I applied for DMS IIT Delhi by applying on their website, there is a separate form after the CAT result. Then I got shortlisted for my interview. The shortlisting criteria had some special marks for female candidates and also some additional marks were there for the students who graduated from NIT or an IIT. After that, there was an interview round of 15-20 minutes. Which got me into the course on one of the many waitlists. I didn't find my name in the first list.

I opted for this course because this would give me the best ROI. The batch size is relatively small here, so is the competition less when compared to IIMs. The Faculty: Student ratio is also good, which is 1 teacher for every 6 students. The faculty is very qualified under the guidance of a very ambitious HOD. The teaching and evaluating methods are very appropriate. They give us an opportunity to learn while doing and also give us exposure to real-life problems with various projects. Overall the teachers are always very supportive and available for student issues all the time.

The college offers excellent internship opportunities with a record of 100% batch placement every year. The major company includes Wipro, Tiger Analytics, Amway, Bain and Company ICICI bank and many more.

The placements are 100% for the final year and also 100% placement for the internship for the pre-final year batch. The mean CTC offered is at 22.29 LPA and the median CTC is at 20.6 LPA. Major recruiters include BlackRock, Medtronic, Synergy Consulting, GE Healthcare, Wipro, and many more.

The college fee is very rational when compared to other B schools. The entire course costs you 9.6 lac which comprises the cost of a Global Field trip and also you get a laptop during your course. The hostel fee is also very nominal, that is just 8k per semester, and there are just 4 semesters (no trimester system). The college also provides cash-based scholarships to the batch topper to maintain a healthy competition.

The campus is lush and green in the heart of the capital of India. There is a central library of IIT Delhi and also a separate library of DMS. There is also access to various e-resources and journals. The institute also provides a free subscription of business standards for the students. The classrooms are spacious and technologically sound. There are 10 committees and 4 clubs which give you ample shape to learn and grow. There is also an annual fest - PARIVARTAN, which is the stage for students to compete with other B-school. Apart from this, there are various competitions conducted from time to time to shape future leaders.

After the profile screening on the basis of CAT score and other qualifications, there was a PI round for the admission process. Due to the online mode of screening, there was no WAT or GD in the process. For the interview, different telegram channels were formed panel-wise, and you have to wait for some 3 hours or so. The panel usually comprises 3 members and they would ask you about your profile, work experience (if you have one), and college project/ internship that you did.
