Remarks
The admission process for IIM L starts with the common admission test (CAT). The form needs to be filled on the iimcat website. Under that, for college selection, you have to choose IIM L PGP and proceed to fill the application. The fee for the form is approximately Rs. 1900. The forms for CAT are released in the month of August. The window goes on till September, post which it is opened again for editing basic details in October. The paper is conducted only once in the year during the last week of November. After appearing for CAT, each college releases its own cutoff. The same is done by IIM L. If the candidate meets the cutoff through their CAT scores, they are called in for further admission process of the college.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course at IIM L is such designed that it satisfies the needs of every student. The varied range of subjects covered can be listed as Operations, Finance, Analytics, etc. IIM L is known for the varied range of faculty having PhD degrees and coming from varied industrial as well as research backgrounds. The average experience of the faculty teaching at IIM L is 10-15 years and the college has a Faculty to Student ratio of 1:10.
Internships Opportunities
Internship opportunities are provided by the college in bug companies like google and many more FMCG companies in India. the roles are diverse from marketing to operations. projects are provided by the companies and the average stipend ranged from 90000 to 120000 per month. the highest package this year was 340000 per month.
Placement Experience
The placements of the college are excellent and there are many opportunities by big companies from all the sectors like FMCG and finance in this college. the average package went to 2600000 per year and the highest CTC was 5100000 per year in 2021. the college had 100% placement record like every year and students get placed in good projects.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees at the institution are hiked by approximately 5-7%. The overall funding for the college isn't as difficult because of being under the Government of India. With a fee of around Rs.20 lakhs, it is easier to get an educational loan on the same because the college is one of the Top 5 MBA colleges in India. The college also provides further assistance on acquiring low interest loans from partner banks and also provides scholarship opportunities for students belonging to the low income category.
Campus Life
The campus life is very interesting and clubs organize a lot of fests, events and competitions for students. this gives us a lot of exposure and opportunities. facilities like the library and sports grounds are available on the campus. Classrooms are equipped with the latest technology for a great learning experience. Major events are conducted on the campus and many colleges take part in it and social groups and club activities are conducted regularly.
Interview Experience
The admission process at IIM L constitutes of two phases. In phase 1 the candidate is shortlisted based on their CAT scores. After that the college conducts AWT and PI in their phase 2. A cumulative score of these are taken at the end in order to provide admission to the candidates. AWT is similar to WAT that is conducted at various B schools. Under this, the candidate is tested on their analytical skills and how quickly are they able to think given the time constraints. The topics for these can be from any of the fields we come across in our day to day. One has to be well read to be able to answer the same. The questions asked during the PI process are very subjective and can be something as generic as "Tell me About yourself", "What is the specility of your native place?", "Why do you want to move out?", "What are your views on the recent budget?", etc.
