Course Curriculum Overview
Some of the courses offered are very modern and relevant, can help us keep with the times. Fun courses have been sprinkled to help students with any and all the stress that arises. Overall a very roundabout learning in first year with specialisations and electives in second
Internships Opportunities
Over 200 companies with the best of consulting, general management, product management, marketing, operations and finance opportunities , projects range from technical to very practical application based work which is company dependent
Placement Experience
College placements are very nice for about 20% of the batch which is better than most colleges in India, the next 50-60% get reasonable placement. There does arise a problem in the tail end of the batch but that is also because of students' own abilities
Fees and Financial Aid
2300000 total, all included. We have breakup of hostel and mess fees in that itself, mess is about 1,50,000 for two years while hostel around 2,00,000. Students going on student exchange pay another 8,00,000 All of this is available on loan at low rates
Campus Life
A very happening campus life, with celebration of all festivals, all pujas, many institute parties and even more room parties. There are over 35 groups and committees running various functions in college all are student-managed
Hostel Facilities
Single room accomodation avaialble to all students, washrooms are shared. Hostels do not have any curfew times. Mess is open at 4 times during the day with a separate night mess. Overall food quality is not nice but paid counters are good
Admission
Chose over the other old IIMs because while giving me reasonable placements also helped me stand out in the crowd, did not have to do a lot of bickering and met people who seemed more crowd than anything else
Faculty
Faculty to student ratio is quite reasonable at 1:5, you have lot of people ready to help out with CRs, tut sessions, teaching assistants. Strict rules on grading exist which lead to 2-5% of batch repeating. Exams structure overall is quite valid with breaks.
Interview Experience
Yes there was a personal interview round taken by two professors, the interview was centred around current affairs and business news. What are my views on them, how do I feel they could impact on global and macro scales
Night Life
Gym, pool and extra curricular facilities available, we have mess and many student managed restaurants, additionally swiggy, zomato, blinkit, zepto everything is available right on campus and comes to hostel gate which is convenient
