HPTU Review

I was looking for a government college as private colleges fees is too high so I was looking for a government college that has a good placement record and a good curriculum that should be according to the industry norms. First I decided to opt for DU but the cut off list was high and then one of my friends told me about HPTU. I have to submit the application form through the official website of the college and have to submit a fee of Rs 1550/-. Candidate must have a minimum of 50% marks in graduation and must have qualified CAT.

The curriculum of the college is according to the latest industrial norm at the beginning I was a little doubtful about the college regarding the curriculum but after attending a few classes my all doubt were cleared out. We were also taken for industrial visits and according to the curriculum we have to submit the written assignments after visiting the industries. The internship is also a part of the curriculum and that is why it was mandatory.

After completion of a first-year internship is mandatory for students. You can also opt internship program from outside the campus also. If you want to opt for the internship through the college the placement cell will help you out but the internship is mostly unpaid. After the completion of the internship, we need to submit a written assignment about our experience and learning during the internship tenure.

Our college placement committee is very dedicated and they are also very supportive. The committee guides you and assists you throughout the placement process. Companies like Honda, Procter & Gamble, Yes Bank, Citi Bank, ITC, Cipla, Indigo, visit the campus. As the placement packages are not so huge but according to the status of the college and according to the program fee, the placement is worth it. The highest package for our batch was around 12 LPA and the lowest was 7 LPA.

Compare to other institutes the college fee is not too high. The college also provides scholarships for merit students as I was not able to get any kind of scholarship so I have to pay my complete fee. The college also provides scholarships for SC/ST/PD students.

The college is located in the hills of Himachal and the view around the college is very scenic and eye-soothing. The campus provides all the educational facilities and the infrastructure of the college is also very good, classrooms are big and properly ventilated. The library is full of knowledgeable books academics and non-academics books are available and international journal is also available. The campus is also equipped with a free WiFi facility.

The faculties are qualified and the professors are good in behaviours. Their communication skills are very good and they also help students to develop such communication skills. The faculties are well equipped with knowledge of their field. Teachers are very supportive and they really encourage students for their bright future.
