Remarks

The reason why I am pursuing my 5 year Integrated programme at NISER is mainly due to the National level recognition the college holds. The college was built in 2007 and is affiliated with Homi Bhabha National Institute,Mumbai. Having autonomous status is another great thing in the college's achievements. Admissions to the college are based upon the NEST score of applicants & counselling round.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The reason I decided to straight away go for a Integrated course in Science was that I always wanted to go into Computer Science field. The experience has been great till now, the faculty is well qualified and there are well upgraded Laboratories also. Students also get to have a good amount of Practical exposure. The 5 years of course includes a total of 10 semesters during which all different aspects of the domain are covered by the institute.

Internships Opportunities

4.5

I've heard a lot of good things about the Internships of our college because the institute has collaborations with leading firms & NGO's. Students get offer's as per their calibre and also the demand companies show in their profile.

Placement Experience

4

Most of the students go for PhD programme after this integrated programme and I also have plans to go abroad for my Doctorate degree. No such recruiters visit but students with good CGPA get to appear in a Interview round for further endeavours. I am still doing my B.Sc + M.Sc program that's why don't have any individual experience to share.

Fees and Financial Aid

The total fee for the 5 year Integrated course is just INR 97,150 and this shows how good it is that anyone can afford. The students of SC/ST category have to pay a lower fee for the programme.Students who belong to the eligibility set can also avail scholarships by the State/Central govt .

Campus Life

4.5

The college's campus life includes a Large Library, Laboratories and well organised Classrooms. There are a number of Technical events which are organised by the Tech club of our college. Alongside this Clubs for Art's, Dance, Drama Coding are also here at NISER. The Science fair of our college is the best thing for our course because we get to know about the latest updates.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

Hostels can be availed on Sharing basis and students can even get single occupancy if they are willing to pay some additional charges. The facilities in the hostel pretty much match our needs as they are not that old. Mess food is quite tasty and it's really good for all Hostel students. I personally feel that hostel life is better than being a day scholar as we get to interact with different kind of brains in the hostel life.

Admission

Students interested to pursue the Integrated course at NISER must have scored a good score in the NEST entrance and students may appear in the round of counselling for seat allocation. Students may have scored minimum of 60% marks in their XII from any recognised board.

After completing my degree, i plan to work in software industry and gain more experience in the field of technology

Placement Experience:

After the summer internship. The college started giving campus placement training and during the month of September, students got placement already. Companies like TATA AIG, Collegedunia, Federal Bank, Delloite, ADP, TCI, SIS, HDFC AMC. IDFC BANK. Practo, ADVARISK, AXIS BANK. Property pistol came and took a maximum of students. The highest package was offered by international companies like property pistol with 22 lac CTC and average being 5lacs. Mostly the profile was on sales and marketing. only a few fintech companies could recruit students. Till now around 96% of students are placed in different domains and already started working. I am fortunate enough to get placed in the FEDERAL bank with 10lac CTC and as a fresher joining such a big company will be extremely grateful to the college and its placement team. They personally look after students drawback by the feedback they get from the recruitment teams and suggest where to improve and give a number of opportunities to seat for the company.
