Remarks

St.John's Medical College, is always ranked among the top 10 medical colleges in India. The college is having state of the art infrastructure facilities and excellent faculty also. One bad aspect is that fees are higher. The admission is merit based .

Course Curriculum Overview

MBBS curriculum is covering the major subjects like includes microbiology, biochemistry, anatomy, pharmacology, physiology, and pathology etc. The faculty student ratio is good and students get special attention from the teachers .

Placement Experience

Placements are not much for the undergraduate programmes. Most of the students go for higher studies like MD programmes. After that several students get higher job positions in both public and private sectors.

Fees and Financial Aid

INR 3140000 is the fees for the MBBS programme. As this is a private management institute, the fees are higher when compared to government colleges. Economically weaker students are eligible for fee concessions as well.

Campus Life

The sports facilities include basketball and volleyball courts, football and hockey fields, tennis courts, cricket grounds, athletic track, gymnasium, badminton courts, table tennis, chess, caroms etc. Autumn Muse, is the Annual College Fest.

Good College with Supportive Faculty and Decent Placements

Placement Experience:

Placements at RNS Institute of Technology are good. Students become eligible for campus placements from the 6th or 7th semester. Many companies visit the college, including IT and core companies. Some of the common recruiters include TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Accenture, and a few core companies for EEE. The average package is around 3 to 5 LPA, and higher packages are also offered for top-performing students. The highest package can go much higher depending on the company. Around 70–80% of students get placed, mainly in IT roles. For EEE students, core placements are limited, but there are good opportunities in software roles. The college also provides training and support for placements. After completing my degree, I plan to get placed in a good company and build my career.

Good learning experience with Decent Internships opportunities

Placement Experience:

Placement in my college is decent, wiyh around 90% of students are getting placed. Students usually become eligible for placement in their final year and the college provides internships opportunities before that, which helps in gaining experience. Many companies visit to campus mainly from marketing and sales, along with some roles in HR and operations. The number of offer is good but option for finance and analytic are comparatively limited.

Placement Experience:

Most of the students get placed from the campus placements. Students get eligible for campus placements from the fifth semester. Companies like HP, Infosys, Wipro come for recruiting and make offers from 3L per annum to 30 L per annum. Around 70 percent of the students get placed through campus placement. I plan on working for a dream company after completing my degree.

Life at IISc- Pros and Cons

Placement Experience:

Most of the students after completing four years, continue to stay here to get Masters degree after one more year and pursue PhD from world renowned institutions. Very few people (<7/100) per batch will sit for campus placements and most of them will be selected with a good annual package of 30000 at an average. Some students, mostly Physocs majors can give government exams like ICRB, GATE to join ISRO and BARC as scientists

St John's College of Nursing

For the course I applied only to St John's and CMC Vellore. The admission process in this college includes applying for the KCET which is the admission portal for Karnataka colleges. Based on your marks and a interview you'll be selected. there is no chance of recommendation. The eligibility criteria is you should be 12th pass with bio science. The cutoff based on the recent admissions is above 90%. I was accepted to the college before the entrance exam for CMC Vellore that's why I chose to go here.
