Remarks
For my MA programme I looked deep into a lot of colleges but Satyawati was the one that matched most of my needs and that's why I applied for it. The college is given Grade A from NAAC and it is approved by the Union Grants Commission also. Admission here to MA is done on both entrance exam and Merit based according to the guidelines of Delhi University.
Course Curriculum Overview
After my Graduation in the field of Political Science, I was sure to go for Master's because my will to learn about the field wasn't satisfied till now. That's why I opted for this MA programme. I had high expectations from the college and the faculty, Curriculum and facilities Stood well on them. The 2 year programme was just like other PG courses in the field and semester wise exams were organised by the institute.
Internships Opportunities
No, I haven't opted for the Internship round due to some personal issues but this round has always worked as an additional benefit for deserving students who wish to get exposure regarding the Corporate sector and fields related to their respective fields
Placement Experience
Satyawati College is good in terms of placements too but the amount of offer's were pretty less for students belonging to Art's courses. However, our college was able to record an average salary of INR 5 LPA during our batch and recruiters like Wipro, HSBC, Infosys and ICICI visited our campus during the placement drive. The top package was somewhere around INR 8 Lacs.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fee is pretty good and even if the student is from a poor/financially weak background it is decent. The total fee for my MA in Political Science was INR 15,310 and if a student fulfills the eligibility/conditions set by the college , then some financial aid or Merit Scholarships can also be availed. I had good financial support and that's why I haven't opted for any such benefit.
Campus Life
The best thing about the college campus was that it spreaded over 10 acres of land and had all required facilities in it. We had a full fledged library system, Modernised Classrooms, Computer lab with internet connectivity and a variety of Competitions across the session. Groups for NCC, NSS, Dance, Cultural activities and Sports were also there and students participated in all organised Events wholeheartedly. For all respective fields, committees and clubs were available in Satyawati College.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel services are not established by the college but to help students who want to get accommodations nearby various PG facilities are available in a very less distance from the college. Students seeking such facilities may prefer to stay on Sharing basis because the Finances get divided in that way and the pressure of charges goes very reasonable.
Admission
For admission to the Masters programme the rule is quite simple, If the candidate is from Delhi University he/she gets the chance to opt for Merit based selection while the selection is done as per DUET scores for all other applicants. The seat availability and cut-off is also a prominent factor during admissions.
