Remarks

The credibility of this institute in my field made me choose this college. Metallurgical Engineeeing, Materials Specialization, IIT Bombay is the best in our field. The campus is flushy green and offers wide range of opportunities foe research and core engineering.

Course Curriculum Overview

Faculties are top notch. Faculty student ratio is fair enough. Teaching methodology is based on classroom experience along with lab and projects. The exams were conducted as midsemester and end semester along with muktiple quizzes, and evaluations throghout the semester.

Class Size: 80Course Fees: INR 100000 per year

Placement Experience

Placement opportunities are one of the best in in India. All the major companies that comes for recruitment have IIT-BOMBAY at top of their list. Approximately 70 percent students get placement here. And others plan for higher education mostly abroad.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Approx 2 lakhs is the fees incliding mess and hostel for 2 years of masters programme. Campus placements opportunities are best in india. A wide range of companies from consulting, finance, engineering core, Research and Development etc visit for recruitment.

Campus Life

Life in campus is very nice and probably the best in India. There are ample amount of groups and clubs availabke for recreation and skill development. Any kind of society, club, group you can think is there at IIT bombay.

Admission

No i didn't face any of such GD and Interview. The selection was based on Gate score only. Top rankers in gate exam were given the opportunity to take admission in the masters course here. In Metallurgy department there is as such no interview and GD round.

The Training Placement Office Logins are given to us in the third year of the college where alot of companies gives opportunities to apply for the said job role or internship. Approximately 5 to 10 companies visits are there every month which increases as you enter your final year of college.

Placements start as soon as the acedemic start and they continue throughout the year. The placements are 100% for the final placements. The highest CTC is 26.3 LPA, average is 15.24 LPA, while the lowest is around 9 LPA. Most preferred companies are the MNCs and the asset management companies and banks, which offer CTC around the mean. The placement process is completely driven by the placement committee and the process is very transperent. there were more than 76 recruiters that hired from SIMSREE last year

My admission to this college has been a blessing because I have witnessed the most polite and supporting teachers who are not biased on any basis and are always ready to help. The ambience of the college is also nice. Special reference to the office staff, the office staff is super polite, helpful and supporting and they are very joyful and always cheer you up.

so i did fill for other college but yes iit bombay was my 1st preference so i got it and acc to my rank i was gettinng into iit bombay very easily but to be on safe side i added more option . so i have cleared jee advanced to get here . for mtech you have to pass gate . the admission iprocess is impler only its mostlyy digital.cutoffs of jee adv is obviously very high due to number of student who wnt to go in iit and number of studnet who get selected there is huge difference so dropper increases ....Read More
