Remarks
Right now my college is new but we, as students, are striving day and night to make sure our college is atleast known for how good it is. And by the last two years, I guess we are progressing.
Course Curriculum Overview
LTIADS conducts exams for each semester from 1-10 except for 6 and 10, which are held by Mumbai University. The exam structure is relevant and research-driven. There is no use of unfair means taken place in this institute. It makes sure that the students who are graduating from this college are architects who are knowledge-based and practical in their future endeavors.
Placement Experience
The institute doesn't provide campus placements. For internships, Students have to struggle on their own.
College Events
We have our intracollege cultural fest named - 'Chrysalis' every year by the end of January month were in we have multiple skill based workshops, exposure towards the ideologies of famous as well as budding architects. This event ranges for a week or so. Along with this, our college also celebrates many small-small events and opens stage for talking about these topics.
Fee Structure And Facilities
As compared to the other architectural institutes, the fees of my college are feasible to some extent. This enables our access to many facilities such as Library or Air conditioners etc. The college accepts the payment amount either in full cash or Demand draft. There might be additional charges for those Students who are getting admission which is not based on the merit list. Amidst this lockdown, the college has not asked for any payment (for the new term) yet.
Fees and Financial Aid
The college offers scholarship for EBC students i.e. Economically Backward Class students whose monthly income is less than 6lacs. The average sum for the scholarship which is provided is half the yearly academic fees.
Campus Life
The gender ratio in my college might be approximately 3:1 (girls:boys). There is no partiality based on religion, gender, race. College focuses on the skills of a student and not on these factors. I have not come across any bullying or ragging in the campus.
Hostel Facilities
My college used to have hostels but now there is no hostel facility. There are a number of PGs around the college whose rents are approximately 15000 or so, where you can share the room with 2-3 students.
Alumni/Alumna
As the college enables activities or projects for vertical interactions through out the years, there is seen a lot of bonding of seniors and juniors. The seniors are really helpful. Right from teaching us various techniques to make a model to guiding us for internships. They are there all the time.
Admission
Since I was a kid, I always dreamt of creating an upotian world, starting with our societies. I wasn't sure whether I could succeed in changing the psychology of people but I knew I could atleast bring a light of hope in the cities we live in. Hence, I found Architecture as a suitable course to implement my ideas. But due to the new policies and change in the exam pattern (2017), I wasn't able to crack the entrance exam (NATA) with flying colors. My score was a little about average. The only institute whose cut off matched my score was LTIADS. I was not sure about this institute until I actually experienced the workshops and its lectures. This has got some amazingly talented faculties. By the end of first year, the only words that came out of mouth were, let me quote it, "LTIADS is a new institute yet it has got good facilities and faculties which help to enhance the work of an individual."
Faculty
The team includes senior architects, assistant profressors, senior profressors, all of them holding medals and certificates in their proficiency. LTIADS intakes faculties aged between approximately 25 to 55, fully based on their teaching skills. And no doubt, I haven't came across any such faculty, which has failed to answer my questions.
