Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum is a bit old as its by the Mumbai university but the faculty keep up with it and bring in new trends. We have both theory and practical exams every semester. During the eighth semester we are assigned for professional practice and the last two semesters are for project works.
Placement Experience
The college has no placement as of now. But the students are trained well, we attend internships in our 8th semester anyhow through which we may get leads for jobs. Maximum of the people opt for specialization in a particular field for which this college is helpful in a lot ways.
College Events
Chrysalis is the most happening cultural event at LTIADS, this happens at the very beginning of the even semester every year. Fresher like in any college are given a party by the seniors for a good rapport. Apart from these events we occasionally have debates and other fun events in our college.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure for the whole course(Total five years) stays the same each year which is around 5.25 Lakhs(Rs.1.05 Lakhs per year). Educational loans can be availed in case of any discrepancies with the fee payment.
Fees and Financial Aid
The Mumbai university provides scholarships to meritorious students based one certain criteria. A student if from a poor background or has other reasons to not be able to pay the fee can avail loan from any centralized banks.
Campus Life
The institute encourages extracurricular activities like sports. It conducts exclusive sports fest for the semester and has sports professionals to conduct the games fro us for a day or two. The labs are well furnished.
Hostel Facilities
Yes, I have opted for the hostel which is situated inside the campus, the rooms are spacious with a very good ambience for studies and other co-curricular activities. The food here is good and hygienic.
Alumni/Alumna
The alumni are the backbone to any institute as a sign of them paying back to the college they help us (their juniors) in placement opportunities, as in general many companies don't visit a architecture institute.
Admission
I got a 60% aggregate in NATA (an exclusive aptitude test for architecture). My board marks were also considered. I had to wait for the merit list which is based upon the cumulative score of my NATA and boards.
Faculty
The faculty here try to keep it lively. They are a very well-qualified bunch of people, they even have a lot of experience in the professional field due to which we just don't get what is in the book but also their experiences as an architect.
