Course Curriculum Overview

Good Labs and course updated with the relevant content and updated technology, Slight strict examination and marking scheme with 80% compulsory attendance, classes starts at 8am and welcomes you sometimes with Surprise tests.

Placement opportunities are one of the best for Computer science and ECE branch.Average package for CS is more than 10 Lakhs. Almost all the big tech companies visits campus for internships and full time job opportunities. For other branches placements are good having average salaries 6-7 Lakhs.

All sports are available with proper infrastructure and play grounds, chance to represent the campus in Inter NIT competitions, Wifi is available all across the Hostels and buildings, Very advanced computer labs and One of the few campus in the country to have their own SUPER COMPUTER, advanced computer library and study rooms open 24*7.

Hostel Facilities

4 guys sharing in First year, 2 guys sharing in 2nd year, 2 or 4 Sharing room in 3rd year, Single occupancy room in final year. Around 12 boys hostel and many more yet to come. All option of Veg and Non food, North Indian or South Indian Mess option available. You can choose any mess you want from 2nd year onward.Internet Lan and WIFI is available in all the hostels. Around 4500 is the expense per month. Water coolers are available on all the floors.

from semister 6 students become eligible for campus placements and companies loke bank of america , google microsoft etc visited for campus placements and the highest package is about 54 lakhs where as average is 11 lakhs and about 98% of the students are placed

Placement Experience:

The placement here is top notch. This year in my campus the highest CTC offered was 56.5lpa by PALOALTO. Placements process is centralised at coimbatore though. Students are eligible for campus placements from third year or s5. Average package in computing department ranges from 10-12lpa. My plans after degree is to pursue MS: opportunities of which are provided by the college itself. In computing department almost 90% of the students have been placed according to the seniors I talked to. However it is lower in other streams.

Placement Experience:

As of what i spoke to the seniors they said that AI students got better placements compared to Core students and the average package is around 9LPA for CSE branches students and 7LPA overall for all the branches and there is CIR foundation classes where they teach us how to improve our communication skills and How to create a resume right from first year itself according to seniors it is very helpfull

An aspiring first year student’s review

Placement Experience:

Civil engineering is a course with least placement in every engineering colleges. Students are placed during their fourth year in college. Sobha Constructions Ltd is one of the main companies that visits college. 200000rupees package is the average package offered. Les than 25 percent civil engineers get placed. I plan to prepare for GATE exam and pursue more in this course.

I have choosen this college because it is of top 5 NITs and i am getting a good branch. I have apllied for remaining top nits also, but i got this for my jee mains rank( i couldn't make to other top nits because may be of lack of good preperation for jee). When compared to remianing NITs, this college has everything that every other NIT also have, the sports facilities here can be improved. Life at NITC by Vimosh Kumar

I wanted to get into Mechanical Engineering in any of the top NIT's so applied for all the NIT's in the NIRF ranking order with mechanical in every college so after the counselling happened to get into NIT Calicut. The admission process is through JoSAA Counselling where students come to the college after getting alloted but before that the student needs to clear the JEE Main Exam to get admitted into the college.
