Remarks

IIT Bombay has excellent Research Opportunities. The in campus placements are very promising. The campus is huge with an are of 590 acres, lush green and has it's own lake and a hill. There are lot of sport facilities which are open to all the students of IITB.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum is well balanced with an up to date course framework. There are ample opportunities for students to learn with professors by helping them in their project work. The course framework is quite flexible and allows you to choose from a wide variety of courses.

The placements opportunities are really good at IIT Bombay. If you work hard enough you can get into a big company with a decent starting pay. The placements opportunities include technical as well as Non-technical Roles.

Campus Life

The students at IITB have a lot of freedom and we can go inside or outside the campus at any time, if we are carrying the id card. There are a lot of Technical teams, technical clubs, Sports Clubs, Cultural groups. The infrastructure is amazing with well lit and fully air conditioned classrooms.

Placement Experience:

The Training Placement Office Logins are given to us in the third year of the college where alot of companies gives opportunities to apply for the said job role or internship. Approximately 5 to 10 companies visits are there every month which increases as you enter your final year of college.

Placements start as soon as the acedemic start and they continue throughout the year. The placements are 100% for the final placements. The highest CTC is 26.3 LPA, average is 15.24 LPA, while the lowest is around 9 LPA. Most preferred companies are the MNCs and the asset management companies and banks, which offer CTC around the mean. The placement process is completely driven by the placement committee and the process is very transperent. there were more than 76 recruiters that hired from SIMSREE last year

My admission to this college has been a blessing because I have witnessed the most polite and supporting teachers who are not biased on any basis and are always ready to help. The ambience of the college is also nice. Special reference to the office staff, the office staff is super polite, helpful and supporting and they are very joyful and always cheer you up.

I did applied for iit delhi also as it was my home town but got IIT Bombay as it was much better for me because of placements and brand value. so i did fill for other college but yes iit bombay was my 1st preference so i got it and acc to my rank i was gettinng into iit bombay very easily but to be on safe side i added more option . so i have cleared jee advanced to get here . for mtech you have to pass gate . the admission iprocess is impler only its mostlyy digital.cutoffs of jee adv is obviously very high due to number of student who wnt to go in iit and number of studnet who get selected there is huge difference so dropper increases ....Read More
