The place lives up to its reputation. With this particular course and institution, you get the better of two industries and markets with an option to make a career in either. The learning happens to a large extent outside of the classroom through a diverse pool of students coming from a variety of backgrounds.
Entrance Preview
To get admission into LCBS we need to have good communication skills with attractive personality and perfect command over spoken English. Knowledge of a foreign language is an added advantage, but is not compulsory. The duration of the course is
Course Curriculum Overview
The course is designed for those who have recently graduated, or for professionals with some experience in fashion & retail sector, but wanting to move to luxury. The students not only understand how to handle luxury in India, but they are also able to achieve an international perspective as the college has a joint collaboration with some University in Monaco
Internships Opportunities
The college provides internship to students in the industry which is compulsory for all the students. I feel this is the best part of the college as you get to experience the industry interface on you own and you understand the various phases of the businesses.
Placement Experience
Marketing placements were good. Many multinational companies came and hired students such as Aditya Birla, Proptiger etc. Finance and HR placements were not that great but not that worse. They tried their best to bring in good companies with a good package.
College Events
The corporate interface is very strong here with a host of guest lectures and interactions happening. It is an institution largely driven by its students who are free to explore. There are activities happening round the clock which keeps you on your toes and prepares you to face the rigor of the world outside.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Though the college proves to provide absolute luxury, the fees is expected to be high but no, fees for the whole course of pgdm that is in India is quite similar compared to other b-schools.
Fees and Financial Aid
The college is not providing any kind of scholarship as I asked the admin people after joining the college that I need to enroll for the scholarship they said they don't provide scholarships.
Campus Life
The good and green campus is what makes my college memorable. The rising name of the college is one the reasons I would suggest my juniors to not abstain from coming here as my one year experience has been great and they would feel the same.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel facility is available to students but it is very expensive so I preferred to stay at my masi's place initially and then I moved to a PG.
Alumni/Alumna
Exceptionally well placed alumni who comes to meet us at the alumni meets that take place outside the college in some 5 star hotel. We interact with them and have fun. Seniors are very supportive though we hardly meet but they help us with their experiences.
Exam Structure
Exams are quite fun, we have more of practicals than the theory part, they aim on enhancing the knowledge of the students and not just load them up with bookish knowledge.
Faculty
There are a bunch of new professors recruited in the college which definitely need enough experience in the teaching sector. Hardly, a few of the lecturers are well versed with their topics and students find sole satisfaction in their lectures.
