Admission criteria for this course is quite unique as you can pursue you post graduation while still doing graduation as you are not required to be a graduate if you have an experience of 3 years in the same field.
Course Curriculum Overview
Modular based learning – modules on ‘Basics of Fashion, its history & evolution’, ‘Basic understanding of textiles and garmenting technologies’, ‘Visual Merchandising’, ‘The science of fashion retailing’.
Internships Opportunities
There are international as well as national internships provided by the college to the students as part of the curriculum, this is compulsory for every student as when not enrolled for it the students are to lose marks.
Placement Experience
The placement department personally gets in touch with the students for giving them a better opportunity for their jobs and for their better future. Most of the companies offer the roles of Sales Executive. Airtel offered a Store Manager role for our batch.
College Events
The college gives equal importance to education, sports and other activities. There are various fests all around the year and the grand fest at the end of academic year is worth the wait. The technical fest , cultural fest,and science olympiad are held here. The students from all over India participate here. Sports events are held on a regular basis and sports day is celebrated here. So, it provides a perfect environment for the students who are good at sports.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee is a bit high, which in the current year they have reduced. Not many people are able to afford this much but the ROI they give is worth giving a shot to this course with even an inflated amount of fees.
Fees and Financial Aid
No scholarship is offered As the fees is quite high they should provide some concessions at least.Loan facility can be availed by the students of LCBS as it has a tie up with various Banks.
Campus Life
Though the infrastructure is not that good, but still quality of teaching and peer group is unmatched. There is a well-equipped canteen and the best part is the club culture. Competitions, quizzes, events, sports, parties, case studies are the words you feel like routine in this wonderful place. A library which welcomes you 24*7 is a place to gather knowledge.
Hostel Facilities
I stayed in the hostel for 2 years. I am quite satisfied with the food quality here. There is a gym facility, a beauty parlour, indoor and outdoor games etc. The university experience is about gaining independence and freedom. You will find everything you need on our campus accommodation which is entertainment, places to eat and drink and outstanding sports facilities.
Alumni/Alumna
The college hosts an alumni meet every year where limited students are invited, they get to interact with their super seniors and know about their future prospects as the alumni share their experience with the current students.
Exam Structure
Exams are pretty decent as they occur every once in a semester, we just have to study the basics and the questions in the exams paper are all application based or case study based questions which require you to be thorough through the concept.
Faculty
Very experienced Faculty Members. Good Environment but Management is not strict on conducting classes. No follow-up to parents on absenteeism of students and no strict penalties. So, students are very irregular to college and class will be postponed because of huge absenteeism.
