Remarks
LCBS is the most practical college, if you lie in the criteria which does not get you into IIMs. Yes, it costs above average but its nice investment in the long run. Talking about studies, it’s a mixture of good and bad.
Entrance Preview
The requirements are not much as you just need to have good communication skill, an impressive personality, persuasiveness and a command over English with a graduation degree. I got very low percentage in my graduation even then I got admission here because of my confidence in myself.
Course Curriculum Overview
Program imparts basic knowledge on merchandising, branding, legalities, selling and brand management. Lectures are delivered by the Fashion Gurus themselves.
Internships Opportunities
As far as the internship is concerned, every year few companies came to pick 20% students approximately. The stipend provided was around 10k.
Placement Experience
It is great to be a part of this one, as almost all reputed companies are coming there for the placements and select maximum eligible students from LCBS. Many of my friends and I got the greatest job opportunities from there. So it's a great college if the placement is one of your priorities after the completion of studies there.
College Events
There were several industrial tours and national tour which gave you the perfect industry exposure. The curriculum was extremely useful where you can learn almost everything without being in academic pressure.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fees of the college are decent with respect to other colleges and the facilities that are provided by the college. When I applied forthis college I thought due to luxurious the fees would be damn high but it was not comparitively.
Fees and Financial Aid
Scholarships are available to students who are extra meritorious. The college helps students who want to take loans from banks as LCBS has a tie up with some of the banks regarding the loan facility and the rate of interest charged is similar to what is normally charged , it's just you don't have to take that much pain, else you can apply for loan from outside also.
Campus Life
The sports ground is the best where you can play cricket, football, basketball, volleyball, table tennis, carrom, chess etc. The canteen food is delicious, affordable and hygienic. The college has the best infrastructure in the city along with greenery.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel rooms are great, spacious and comfortable and there is also TV room in the hostel for everyone. There is a proper Wi-Fi facility in the classroom as well as in the hostels, and the hostel rooms are very neat and clean. The food is quite good and healthy, and every occasion is celebrated in university and hostels like Lohri and Women's Day.
Alumni/Alumna
The alumni meet was the highlight for the college as it has a great alumni base. And the strength was very less only that was the dull reason to join the college.
Exam Structure
Better academics includes various activities such as assignments, research topics, power point presentations etc. under continues support & improvement of faculty. Enhancing the future careers by providing platforms to students in the form of placement to various national & MNC companies.
Faculty
A portion of the faculty members in each department will be top-class and you will enjoy the learning. Rest, do not expect 100% of faculty members to be world class. The teaching methods are standardised with routine lectures, case studies, projects etc. You get industry exposure during summers and not in the classrooms.
