Remarks

The admission process was smooth and quick. I had taken KCET but went with the management seat. So my admission was not based on the entrance exam since it was a management seat. Eligibility of the course was my 12th grade percentange where the university takes students having a minimum of 70% in PCM in order to maintain higher standards and quality of students. I had no reservations, my admission was not based on the reservation. You can find the application form, fee structure and application dates on University's official website. Overall admission experience was good, University members quickly address and help in document verification and make the admission process smooth. Within a day my admission was complete.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The course I opted was B.Tech in CSE because I had a great interest in learning the softwares and technologies. Since I had a previous knowledge on programming from 10th-12th grade I made a choice of opting CSE to build good foundation and skills in programming. About the faculty members, the department has 30 teaching staff with 15 non teaching staff . Each class has 70 students. Every teaching faculty has Ph.d as a minimum qualification and non teaching staff has a double degree. The teaching method, the course follows Intended Outcome Learning(ILOS) principle, where the students are given certain milestones which they will be able to answer once finishing each modules or sub modules of the course. The University follows the presentation method (ppt) to teach along with the board teaching and textbooks. The university conducts 4 internal term tests(monthly basis ] and 1 SEM end exam. Difficulty level first 30% easy next 30% medium 40% difficult (deals with real world scenarios).

Placement Experience

4

Students from the 7th Semesters (4th year) are eligible for placements having no active backlogs. There is a huge list of companies, it includes both service and product based companies. Key recruiters are TCS, WIPRO MINDTREE, DIGIT INSURANCE, IBM, AMAZON, Big basket, Make my Trip, Bata, Atkins, Nobroker, EY, Reliance digital, pinclick, S&P Global, HCG, Vedantu, Infosys, Torry Harris etc. There is also International placements available from JAPAN with higher packages. A number of offers made highest 50 students from TCS, Mindtree -16, International placements -12. Highest package for national placements - 12 l.p.a and International placements - 28 LPA. Currently, University hits a success rate of 85 to 90% placements guaranteed. My plan after getting a degree was to continue M.tech in the same University, since I am placed I would like to have some hands on experience and do my MTech at MSRUAS in the next year.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee for management is 2, 51, 000/-. The fee for Kcet is 56,000/-. There is a government scholarship available for KCET students called SSP with the amount of 18,200/- issued to the student by the government of Karnataka. University brings in a lot of opportunities for the students to be placed, 90% of placements are guaranteed. I am placed at Mindtree, which was the on campus placement drive and the first company to recruit the students for the 2021 batch.

Campus Life

4.5

Students have annual fests in every even semester named Akira in the month of June or July, it showcases all sorts of talents from cooking to photography, has 30 to 40 competitions being held. Tech fest is called Aadhya, conducted in the month of December, this brings all the innovative minds of the University from all the departments showcasing their innovative project ideas addressing real world problems, there is also a cash prize for the best projects. The library has a large collection of books and journals according to the latest edition, contains all the prescribed textbooks also has a digital library, good project collections. Classrooms have a good infrastructure that can accommodate 90 students with good ventilation, spacious, contains desk and chair to each student, with whiteboard, projector for digital teaching. Placement Experience:

lacements at MS Ramaiah Institute of Technology Placements at MS Ramaiah Institute of Technology are decent overall, with stronger outcomes for CS-related branches and moderate but reliable opportunities for core branches like Chemical Engineering. ???? Placement Eligibility Students generally become eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester (final year). Some companies also allow pre-placement offers (PPOs) through internships after the 6th semester. ???? Companies Visiting the Campus ???? Common Recruiters (Across Branches) TCS Infosys Wipro Accenture Cognizant Capgemini IBM L&T Deloitte (limited roles) ???? Core / Chemical-Related Opportunities L&T Reliance (limited roles) Schneider Electric Saint-Gobain Some manufacturing, quality, and operations-based companies Core chemical companies visit in limited numbers, so many Chemical Engineering students also sit for IT, analytics, and operations roles. ???? Packages Offered (Approximate) ???? Salary Range Highest Package (overall): ~?40–50 LPA (off-campus / international offer, mostly CS) Highest for Core / Chemical roles: ~?8–10 LPA Average Package (overall): ?7–8 LPA Average for Chemical Engineering: ?4–6 LPA ???? Job Profiles Graduate Engineer Trainee (GET) Process / Quality Engineer Analyst / Consultant Software Engineer (for interested students) ???? Placement Percentage Overall placement rate: ~90–95% Chemical Engineering: ~60–70% Students with good CGPA, internships, and skills tend to get placed earlier and in better roles. ???? Employability & Skill Development The college provides: Placement training sessions Aptitude and soft-skill workshops Coding and interview preparation support However, students are expected to upskill on their own, especially for core industry roles or higher-paying profiles. ???? My Plans After Completing the Degree After completing my B.E. in Chemical Engineering, I plan to: Gain industry experience through campus placement or off-campus opportunities

Students become eligible for campus placements from the 7th sem. The highest on campus package this year was around 64 LPA, while as far as I know, the top 20% of the students usually get offers in the 16-24LPA range.
