Remarks

Well, my father had received their call for admission. As my percentage was good enough for admission. On admission day we were late as the bus had taken a long route. But the staff member was good. He told us all situations of university properly without hiding anything. And the thing is that its fee structure is good and affordable which was also the main reason for taking admission in it. They provide scholarships on the basis of your percentage in school and you will get another scholarship if you score higher marks in ESEs. Although online sessions were very good. The offline is a Little bit exhaustive as activities are less than in online classes. But they have assured us about better activities like a moot court, debates etc. The Professors of law especially as I am a scholar pursuing a law degree, are very good and help every time. As if you are looking to get admission in ICFAI, HP. Then surely take it as in Law field it will not disappoint you. Hope you have a good day.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

Well, I want to become a lawyer that was basically my aim but I think that this field of law is connected to many opportunities and jobs you will not disappoint after joining it. The students in the law branch are fewer as it is the new branch in the ICFAI branch of HP. But the professors as far I have met all are very good in my BA LLB course we have a good required number of teachers well my BBA friends have little bit issue. And for the exam, our session had started late thus due to which to follow the university calendar we have so many exams in one row which is a little bit exhaustive and I hope we will never face this situation again in our academic year. But professor exams pattern is very good as they focus on practical work, current affairs, logical reasoning, there is no such pressure of syllabus as professors had given their best. All faculties are Postgraduate, some of them pursuing PhD too. As many of them will get in the following years. (This one is from a student of law).

Internships Opportunities

4.5

I don't know about this much too. But like last year I and my friend weren't able to get an internship online as due to lockdown reasons and surrounding conditions we can't get an offline internship so it was our university that help us to get an internship via Naveen Sherawat sir and Hariom Sir, on is working in District and high court. Another one is in the Supreme court. That's the story on my side.

Placement Experience

2

I am not sure about it as I am new too if it comes to offline. I have heard about the placement from my seniors as far as I have knowledge the highest package was 5 lakh that's it. Only this little I know

Fees and Financial Aid

As clear in my first review, they provide you with a chart of all available scholarships of every programme they have. They provide scholarships on the basis of your school merits, Quota like an army officer, SC, ST etc, and also if you get higher marks in ESEs. I have availed for scholarship on basis of merits so I had paid only 18,000 out of 25000 of semester. My class topper had paid only 8000. As the law course fee is very affordable my juniors have fewer fees than ours. Also, as I have seen the fee structure I can assure that ICFAI HP fees are affordable.

Campus Life

3.5

There are not so many libraries in university. There are only two libraries in the university as one is very big and another is a law Library for law students. Well, I am second-year student and attending offline lectures for 3 months so on basis of that university organised some good programmes too. There are many groups in university like sports, Social, culture, singing etc. Well, there are some insta pages run by students I have not heard about any websites.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

Well, there are a lot of PGs available nearby 1km of the university. As for hostel rooms there good too. 5000 rupees of security and 1500 per month. As for mess 3600 per month. Rooms are available in sharing as well as single too. The single room price is 25,00 (which will not available). A hotspot is available in the hostel and we have talked with management as they are not working well only in boys hostel, to be honest, there is no such high security if comes to the camera, management had assured about to establish them in recent upcoming weeks. Also, new buildings for the hostel is going to construct soon not sure when. Well, mess food quality is average as by my experience to others mess you can eat it, but sometimes mess not provide a good meal but sometimes they make the meal very good as expected by them, the only reason is that a cook who works outside comes sometimes in mess due to which we get some awesome food. After when he was gone we get only average food. Not every day but sometimes food is not good.

College does provide placement however not up to the mark. The placement cell is working hard to provide the best for its students, rest the NLU tag really matters and fetches students work if not from the campus but independently as well. I personally have no plans to go for a placement and so do several others at HPNLU they are focused on judiciary or other government exams.

Students usually become eligible for placements in the second semester of their final year. I am currently unaware of the companies that have visited Himachal Pradesh National Law University. U am also unaware of the current packages offered to students but to my knowledge, students with a CGPA higher than 7.5 are preferred by the company. Placement percentage is low. My plan after the degree include being employed at law firm, preferably in Shimla itseld

No offer made because placement are not for my course. Highest average offer is like 5lakh. 90 to 95 % students get placements.
