Entrance Preview

KAU Entrance Examination I love this college and i have a passion in Biotechnology. Only 20 seats are there for this course. And College is an old palace called Lalindok Palace. And it is not a college. Actually for me, it is a heaven.

Internships Opportunities

Our course is running by multi institutional mode. Many Central government, state government and ICAR bodies are participating on this.

Fees and Financial Aid

Financial assistance in the form of deputation allowance, study allowance and educational concessions or grants from the Kerala Agricultural University. Government of Kerala or Indian Council of Agricultural Research or other bodies, and there is no objection for KAU Junior/Senior Fellowship holder to receive his/her leave salary or to obtain educational loans from bank or Government or other sources.

Exam Structure

The evaluation of the students in a course shall be based on his performance in various examinations, submission of practical records, regular practical class work.

Admission

It happened to know about the entrance by newspaper. on june and i applied via online. Application fee was 750 rs. then exam was very tough. Then one day i got an call letter for interview at Kerala agricultural university headquarters at vellayanikkara thrissur. and i got admission after all the procedures.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Curriculum are updated bi-annually, which is a great thing as it keeps the subjects relevant to the industry standards. The semesters can become quite hectic after the first internals as each subjects have 2 components. The timing to submit both is close.

Life at IITPKD

Remarks:

JEE Rank was the main factor. The facilities like hostel, labs, etc mentioned in the IIT Palakkad website. During the allotment process, one senior girl student of my branch contacted me and cleared all my doubts whether it was small or big, placement details, etc. After the rankings were released, based on the previous years cut-off ranks, I was able to get a fair idea about the colleges I would be able to join among all the IITs, NITs, IIITs. Based on JEE Mains rankings, NIT or IIITs can be chosen. Based on JEE Advance ranking, IIT can be chosen. Also, 2 mock allotment will take place which gives a fair idea of which allotment we will get. These mock allotment will be based on our preferences. We can change them after the mock. Then the actual allotment will start. Once we finalise our preferences and lock them, there will be 7 rounds of allocation. 3 options will be given in each round-Float, Freeze,Slide (details will be clearly mentioned in the website). Once you are allocated a seat in any round, document verification will take place (seat acceptance fee must be paid at this stage).

And I've got admission for bds but I am not much interested in dental field so I've relocated my options and applied for the next three courses, in that After rejecting bds I've got admission in biotechnology. Before relocating my options I had done a research and investigation about biotechnology and find that it is good for me to chose. The admission for biotechnology in college of agriculture Vellayani is through NEET exam, the candidate who had appeared for neet exam who are willing for study biotechnology can choose the option and by the basis of rank you will be get admission.
