Entrance Preview

I passed by 12 the standard exam from Gujarat. Than I wanted to be an engineer, as Gujarat didn't have .Any engineering colleges in 2003 so I planned to do B.e from Bangalore.

Course Curriculum Overview

3

The overall course structure of our university I.e. VTU is good but harder. The course is divided into 4 years and 8 semester's. You have to pass all the subjects from first and second semester to go into 5th semester. Also you require 80 percent of attendance otherwise you will be destined.

Internships Opportunities

When I left college in year 2008 , there were not many companies who came, few I remember were Infosys who came for placement, l& t.etc

Placement Experience

2.5

When I passes out the placement was not so much but now the college got a very good placement. The college has got a very good name now in Bangalore. Also it has got many accreditation. So I think k the placement will be very good.In year 2008 when I left the college only 3 to 4 companies came for placement.

College Events

3

We had sports events and annual day. The annual day celebration was very huge and the college administration used to call some celebreties every year. The sports events were also good. Many Indoor and outdoor games were played in our college. Also there were technical fests but frankly speaking I didn't took part in any.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fess structure is expensive. It's around 1.2 lakhs per year. When I took admission in year 2004 it was around 65000 per year. But, Now I think it is double. So for a normal family it's difficult to study in colleges like this. Also there were other fees such as exam etc.

Fees and Financial Aid

Don't have idea about scholarship. But there will be scholarships in such a big college. But I took an educational loan from Gujarat and college helped me in providing the necessary letter or documents for processing the same.

Campus Life

3.5

The gender ratio was equal. I noticed one thing that locals there were given little more preference. But this is natural. Any one you go the locals will be given little bit more preference. Also there is no ragging like thing in college which was very good thing.

Alumni/Alumna

The alumni network is very good. I am getting updates on regular basis. The college seniors were also superb. We used to get much help from our seniors.

Exam Structure

Yes, sometimes I used to feel the exam structure was hectic, but than I realised the structure was very good. We used to have 3 internal exams in one semester whose marks were added in final external exam from. University which was once per semester.so we used to get good preparation before the main exam.

Admission

After passing 12 the science from Gujarat, my father and his friend from Bangalore when to Acharya college for admission. After going there they found that the college takes donation from students who are out of state. So my father gave Indian rupees 1.75 lakhs as a part of donation for admission purpose.

Faculty

3

The faculty were good. Some were new and other experienced. Also I found that the faculty was very helping in nature. They used to support me in every way I needed there help. There were some new professors who were quite slow in teaching but overall was very good.

I would give complete 100 marks for my course. As the artificial intelligence is trending and most used now, the scope for my course has been increased rapidly. This was one of the reason why I opted for this course. We will be given three internal exams in one semester and two internal lab exams in one semester. We are continously involved in workshops ans seminars to gain knowledge on real world applications along with our academics.
