West Bengal joint entrance exam is to be written to be admitted in the colleges of West Bengal through that exam I got the rank and from that rank, I got admission to Haldia Institute of Technology where the minimum marks are to have 60% in your 12th boards. You must not have more than 3 years drops after the 12th exam m according to your rank you will get the stream in the BTech program you can get admission to your rank or by management quota also.

I choose the course at the Haldia Institute of Technology because I heard that electronics and communication are good here all the faculties are well educated and done PhD in their subject and with their help of experience they teach and make concepts easy to understand. There are 3 term exams and 1 semester exam which is easy to pass but you should have at least a little knowledge of the subject.

Wipro, Infosys, HPCL companies provide training and internships in Haldia Institute of Technology they do search for the field exposure of the students so that they have overall knowledge of the industry and how the work is done in practical life as only the theoretical part is not enough for an engineer.

From 7 semester students are eligible to sit in placements were a number of companies can both technical and non-technical in technical Wipro, Infosys, Tech Mahindra such companies come to recruit the students and in non Tech Haldia petrochemicals Johnson control and Meghalaya cement such companies come here and the highest package they offered is 23 LPA but the average package is 4 lakh per annum almost 80% of a student gets placed.

There is a 3000 fees hike in the college semester fees but overall it is 44000 per semester which is very less with respect to the different private colleges in West Bengal. Hostel fees are also known which is 12000 1st semester without food including.

There is one major fest in Haldia Institute of Technology that is prayukti in which various events are taking place. Celebrities also visit in the first delivery is one of the largest in the West Bengal among all the colleges and consists of a variety of books. There are also many sports events are performed on the campus itself such as badminton basketball football etc.

Hostel room facilities are average. The meal is good but not much variety is there. Sunday very first day of college the hostel rooms are allotted to the students according to their preferences there is also a PG option nearby but I live in the hostel so I don't know much about PG.
