Remarks

There is a management and merit quota. For both one must attend NATA( aptitude test for architecture). The admission is based on the nata rank and +2 marks. The classes are overall good in terms of academics But lacks college life in terms of atmosphere and events.

Course Curriculum Overview

I chose this course as I was interested in architecture and planning. There are enough faculties for all subjects and are qualified. Comes under Calicut University. The exams are usually late. The S1s2 exams came late during the 3rd semester.

Class Size: 40Course Fees: INR 89000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

There is no fee hike. The fee is standard throughout the 5 years. Merit-89000 and for management- 1,86,500. I get meritcum means scholarship worth 25000, as I am a day scholar if you are a hostler it will be 30000.

Campus Life

SSA - Architectural students association elected from 3rd years. In charge of conducting and organising events. Anti-ragging, Photographic club, There are Instagram accounts for each batch run by students.

College of Engineering Trivandrum. Is it worth the hype

Placement Experience:

As I'm a first year student I don't know much about placements but I think it starts by 8th sem for b arch students. Placements for barch are low compare to btech. But as this is a prestigious institution the best firms come here and there is a unit called CGPU for helping students regarding placements here.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Im a passionate student architect. From childhood, I had this dream of becoming a creator. So I chose this course. There is a good ratio of faculty student ratio in the private colleges all over india. I'm not sure about the teaching method because this is more like a self learning course. But faculties are also helpful most of the time. Jury subjects are tougher than written examinations.

Good Express till now

Admission:

Admission here is given on the basis of rank secured in NATA. With my rank I cleared the cutoff in general category in third round. I want my college to be near my home. So I can travel daily from my home. With my rank this was the best option I was getting and hence I opted for this.
