Remarks

I applied late to Jain University. But thankfully due to my good academic record, I was enrolled into Bsc Forensic Science Honors solely based on merit and interview. The administration was extremely guiding in the admission procedure and very helpful in providing all required details to clarify doubts regarding course and faculty.

Course Curriculum Overview

Most teachers were Post Graduates and Ph.D. students who were teaching as Assistant Professors in the college. The exam pattern was Student-friendly and teachers are extremely helpful when it comes to providing exam patterns and study materials for syllabus topics.

Class Size: 76Course Fees: INR 215000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Different departments inform students of available internship opportunities in different laboratories, police departments, hospitals, etc. Head of departments are very supportive in this regard and provide proper guidance and letter of recommendation.

Placement Experience

I don't have much knowledge about this. I didn't apply for placement. But companies like EY, PWC, KMPG, etc have conducted campus recruitment for students in different departments with good salary packages for freshers.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees for my course were Rs 2,15000 per year that is for 2 semesters. The college provides campus placements through the Superset platform that registers Student profiles for potential recruiting organizations.

Campus Life

There are cultural forums and department forums run by student's heads. Jain University also conducts inter-department fests and cultural activities including intra-department activities and competitions.

Hostel Facilities

I stayed in College affiliated hostel for two years. My fees for a three-sharing non-AC room were Rs 16000 per month. The food quality was quite good. We got 4times meals per day, except Sundays when the mess would be closed after Lunch. Rooms had individual cupboards and attached washrooms. My hostel was allotted in VVPuram, which is 2.5 km away from the hostel.

Hostel Fee: INR 196000 per year

Course Curriculum Overview:

The specific aspects is that microbiology is a well developing scope of science in the world. We know how important this subject was when Covid had come to the world. It is related to this subject and find it's relevance everywhere. The course curriculum had started with basics of microbiology and microbial techniques later getting deeper into the subject. The syllabus is set by our college faculties and department head and it is very relevant for future studies. Improvement is needed in teaching methods. Otherwise it's a good place and subject. We get enough time to prepare and write the exams. The papers are usually not difficult if you've prepared we'll. It is on a moderate level.
