Remarks
The admission process was quite smooth, they asked us to come for an interview, they asked decent questions before they select you. You should have applied online for the university beforehand and they will give you the dates for interview. I had only this college in mind, also applied for Christ, their system is a bit longer. I was selected in 3rd round, Joseph's selected me in first round, so I joined here. In Joseph's, you definitely should have finished your +2 and an aggregate of 88% for is required if you are taking combination from science.
Course Curriculum Overview
The courses offered throughout 3 years are decent. I chose PCM in pure science, I liked physics, mathematics and chemistry. The teachers are very friendly and helpful, also the student teacher ratio is around 1:12 per class. Most of the teachers are well versed in English as a language of communication and they have their PhD's, the Mathematics department is good. The term exams were scheduled appropriately and they were not very difficult to pass.
Placement Experience
There is a placement cell, where you can get the details on the meeting and the companies that would come to place students. You can be in placement cells, you will get all the details. If you do well, it's definite that yoh will be placed. I am not aware of the offers but Goldman Sachs had visited recently. Highest package was 15LPA and Lowest was 5LPA. Around 60% get placed here. My plan is to do masters in my interested subject.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure is moderate. For an entire year they take around 28000 INR for us, the fee structure might have changed now to 40000 INR. They provide a lot of scholarships for those who cannot afford to pay or have financial problems. Scholarships from both college and outside are informed. They provide free lunch if you're incapable of getting. The placement cell opens for final year students. A lot of companies visit to hire, recently Goldman Sachs had come for placing students.
Campus Life
Life at campus is chill. There is a big cafeteria with good food and a small one in the campus, there's one being put up in the new building. There is the annual fest with lot of programs, dancing, singing, other forms of art, DJ night and more. Each branch will have their branch fest whenever they want to keep. Mathematics branch fest happen around February, others conduct in different months. The library has plenty of good books and is a good place to study. Classrooms are well furnished and decent. They have a sports room with a couch and a couple of senior year students, a basketball court, football ground. The scope for sports is good. I played football for the college for a year. They provide support for extracurricular activities like singing and dancing. There is a student council which is solely run by the students and is in favor of students. They get the sponsors and arrange college fests and events.
