A great college experience

According to WBJEE counselling, I got this college. I had filled my application form and then took the WBJEE exam. After my rank was declared, I filled out the e counselling form. Then accordingly I got this college.

The curriculum is according to the MAKAUT curriculum. It's quite good and helps in the clear understanding of theory as well as practical concepts. it's good for the students. Though there are scopes of improvement, but as of now, it's quite good. It was a good experience all together.

The college doesn't provide direct internships. But, it arranges for industrial visits and trainings for all its students through out the course period. It also provides advertisements for nearby internship programs and anybody interested can reach out there.

The placements are conducted by Techno India group under its pool campusing scheme. As our college is under the techno India group, we get enough number of placement opportunities and several companies start visiting to recruit students right after third year.

Several events celebrated in our college. It includes the the college annual fest and the tech fest. The annual fest is a cultural event thorough out 3 days. Students participate in it and celebrity singers and rock bands are booked for it. The tech fest focuses on the technical aspects. Every student has a right to participate.

The fees structure is quite feasible and follows the MAKAUT and AICTE rules regarding it. The fees structure for the whole course is approximately Rs. 3,20,000/-. But for tuition fees waived students whose family income is less than a particular value, gets a much reduced fees structure and it stands at an approximate rate of 8,000/-.

Scholarships programs that are available, are promoted by the central government or state government independently.

The campus life in general is quite good. There are active boys and girls in the student sets. Though boys were a bit more in comparison, the girl students were almost at par. The college a remote centre of IIT Bombay and several programs are held in our college and many workshops for teachers as well as students are put up.

The alumni network is strong and the senior students are quite helpful and cooperative. In the initial days of college, seniors proved to be of great help.

The exam s structure is according to MAKAUT rules and there are semester every 6 months and internal exams two times in a semester. The marks of the two internal are taken into average and then there is a marks out of 30. The remaining 70 marks is the total marks of the semester exam making the full marks of a subject equal to 100. There are theory papers as well as lab exams.

After the initial e counselling process, the college that was allotted to me was informed to me by mail. After that, I had to go to the nearest e counselling remote centre at Asansol. After completing the process there, I visited my college and completed the rest of the procedure.

The faculty is quite good. Since I am from ECE, I can explain better about our faculty. Its good and teachers are very interested in teaching the courses and they work hard in explaining us our subjects and clears our doubts when needed. Internal exams and class tests given by them, keeps us in check and that's good for the students to.
