Remarks

Management team of the college was good but I felt it outdated. It needed to be revamped.

Entrance Preview

I took admission on the basis of AIEEE Rank in 2012. I pursued degree in Mechanical Engineering. Admission process was simple one without any interview.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

Course structure was good but too old. It needs to be revised. I took Mechanical as my main branch. It contained subjects like Mathematics, Physics, Heat & Mass Transfer, Refrigeration & Air Conditioning, Thermodynamics, Thermal Science, Internal Combustion Engines, Fluid Mechanics, Strength of Materials, Theory of Machines, etc.

Internships Opportunities

Yes college provided internship. Stipend depended on the company which were hiring the students. Stipend was not in the hands of the college

Placement Experience

4.5

Whoever so participated in the placement session got placed in reputed firms. The first company to visit our college was Bajaj Motors for our branch. More than a 200 companies visited our college till the end of the session. Also, post graduation placement were held to achieve 100% placement.

College Events

4.5

There was not a single day when there used to be an event. Almost every day of the college there used to be an event from different organisations. some of the organisation were: TROIKA, INNOVA, IEEE, etc. There used to be a technical fest every year. After each technical fest there used to be a star night in which there used to come a popular star.

Fee Structure And Facilities

I took admission in 2012. At that time I paid ?65000 for first year, ?59000 for next two years and ?60000 for the last year. So, in my opinion this fees was feasible and not too expensive. No extra charges were imposed on us in the four years of our study. But if anyone wanted to join any organisation then he had to pay the membership fees.

Fees and Financial Aid

There were plenty of scholarship opportunities in the college itself like OP JINDAL scholarship, etc. I got scholarship from Central Govt. Name of Scholarship: CSSS (Central Sector Scholarship Scheme).

Campus Life

4.5

In my opinion campus life was full of joy and happiness. There were students from various states and different countries. In my batch there were two students from Oman and one from Nepal. There was no discrimination on gender basis or any other basis too. Labs were full of instruments and can be operated in the presence of any senior. There used to be a sports event every single year in which teams of different sport were made and sent out.

Hostel Facilities

4

Hostels in our college were more than expectations. In first year of the college we had to share the room with one guy, but from next year onward we get separate room in the hostel. There were almost every type of interior games available in the hostel premises and almost every type of exterior games court outside the hostel. The food quality in the mess was just awesome. Every day there used to be a different dish.

Alumni/Alumna

Seniors at our college were very helpful and supportive. They always supported us at our studies and additional activities. They provided notes of different subjects at the right time and recommended useful books for studies.

Exam Structure

Exam schedule was very good at our college. There used to be two exams in a semester, Mid sem. exams and End sem. exams. So in an year a total of 4 exams. There used to be a gap of almost two months between mid semester and end semester examinations giving us a plenty of time to get prepared.

Faculty

4.5

Faculties were awesome. Their knowledge level was up to the mark. Almost all the professors in Mechanical Department were able to teach any subject related to the same branch. Faculty members used to encourage us for further studies, research work, etc. for our bright future.

There is a training and placement cell in nsut and yes placement is offered in our college. 1. After your 2nd year in btech, you are eligible for internship placement and after 3rd year your are eligible to sit in job placement. 2. There are many good companies that come to nsut, like zomato, meesho, Microsoft, google, azure, adobe, and list is really long. 3. The highest package this year was around 50LPA. The profiles are based on tech - software engineer, non tech - data analysis, core - electrical or mechanical or civil or chemical engineers in core companies like BSES, google silicon etc.

Here placement is average as many opt for higher studies the reason behind this is maybe because only a few companies visit. In which TCS is a mass recruiter. The average package here is 3-4 lakh per annum and the highest goes up to 6lakhs per annum. Here placement ratio is about 50%. I will also opt for higher studies after getting a degree

College management needs to work upon just the placement cell and needs to invent new methods to keep uninterested students glued and up for studies.
