Remarks

NITC ranked less than 30 in NIRF 2019. Though there is limited seats available in NITC, I preferred. I applied for Thermal science and Machine Design, end up with machine design. Manufacturing engineering may be a good option if you opt NITC as most of the facilities are available for them.

Faculties are really Excellent. They throw their knowledge. It upto us whether to catch them or not. They won't insist you to study or do the work. You will be building the responsibility among yourself. That's the fantastic gesture k found there l.

I'm not sure about the percentage of placements. Since the pandemic plays a major role, manu companies left the campus drive in between without recruiting the students. I hope this will change in near future.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Campus placement is quite low for us in this pandemic. Scholarships are provided to financially affected students as per government norms. A student can apply for only one scholarship from the institute.

Campus Life

Campus Life is amazing. Spent almost a year in this pandemic. Currently they habe hoge restrictions in campus because of government norms. Else you are free to roam the campus at anytime. I think we had a wonderful days in hostel.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel facility is wonderful. Daily house keeping is a plus. If you get the hostel which is away from the campus they you are lucky as they were built recently. Price is reasonable for all hostels. Food may be a negative as only 350 students are allowed to take a single mess.

Admission

For admission only GATE SCORE is enough. After all round of councelling there may be open councelling if seats are available. That too depending upon your Gate score you will be called (No interview).

A Decent College for BSc chemistry students

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choosed this degree for me to pursue higher studies in uk or foreign country to study cosmetics related field. So for that bsc chemistry degree must have But this curriculum doesn't teach something base to that I think so.. For further studies the teachers need improvement to teach certain topics some teachers didn't even prepare to study students and lab safety is not in the lab.Because of the teaching the portions are done in last minutes and often exams are difficult in major subjects so they need to improve their study methods and often approach students nicely..

Placement Experience:

Placements cells are supportive in terms of networking with different companies and are readily active for the students competing in getting internships and placements. The college has a tie up with different companies like Infosys , Wipro , Deloitte , IBM , NVIDIA , Deshaw Private Limited etc. Students become eligible from semester 5 onwards for on campus placements. The offers made by these companies are 8 LPA to 9 LPA by deloitte , innfosys , and IBM but the highest package is being offered by Deshaw and NVIDIA that is 60 LPA and 47 LPA. The average package is around 11 LPA and the percentage of students getting placed are above 80%. My plan after getting the degree is to work for an IT Company to get the hands on knowledge about what the current technologies demand and get experienced in that and work further upon it.

Placement Experience:

From semester 5 the opportunity to get a job is out there. Many companies comes to interview and they swlect the apt ones. Sun, Mahendra etc are some of the companies i remember. The highesr package for freshers is like 15000 a month. There is a high percentage of students getting placements its 80-85%.My plan is to study masters.

Placement Experience:

Good Placement actually depends upon the students only. The crowd inside the college should be highly capable and enthusiastic for learning. The problem at XIME is not the placement but the crowd and quality of students. The college have proper placements process. Centralized placements across the three campuses are followed. Although students need to pass certain criteria to sit in the placements such as maintaining a particular GPA.

Details Of NITC

I have choosen this college because it is of top 5 NITs and i am getting a good branch. I have apllied for remaining top nits also, but i got this for my jee mains rank( i couldn't make to other top nits because may be of lack of good preperation for jee). When compared to remianing NITs, this college has everything that every other NIT also have, the sports facilities here can be improved. I wanted to get into Mechanical Engineering in any of the top NIT's so applied for all the NIT's in the NIRF ranking order with mechanical in every college so after the counselling happened to get into NIT Calicut. Accordind to NIRF rankings this is the top 27 Engineering college in India and top 3rd NIT. Admission process is only through JEE Mains Exam. You need very good percentile to join this college. Nit Calicut very good placements too....Read More
