I applied only to this university for my MCA degree as it has very good faculty in it. No, I availed no quota for my admission it was completely based on merit. The admission criteria for the MCA course in USTM is- Must have a minimum of 50% of marks in the bachelor degree Admission is completely based on merit wise Nothing is mentioned about age but if a student has taken a drop of more than one year, a gap certificate must be provided.
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose this course because of my personal interest in computer lines or technical lines. And moreover, this course is good for getting good jobs. Faculty Student ratio is about 10:1. Most of my faculty have an Mtech degrees. Teaching is great. Like our teachers believe more in practicality unlike most of the other teachers who believe in the theory. So, we are bound to do more and more practicals. We use to have an exam after every six months (semester exam). The difficulty is average.
Fees and Financial Aid
Admission fees(including first semester fees and security money)= 56,000. 2nd Semester= 30,000. 3rd Semester= 30,000. 4th Semester= 30,000. Various kinds of scholarships are there but I am not fully aware of them. I just see other students apply for it.
Campus Life
Fest- General Fresher's, Departmental Freshers, Sports day, Annual function. The library sets the goal of a world class library by integrating information sources and services across disciplines in one umbrella by building a sound and comprehensive collection of both print and electronic resources on all branches of knowledge with robust hi-tech infrastructure facilities. The university has every single thing which is needed. Even it has more than everything we need. We don't have any kind of shortage of 8n amenities. Different types of sports are there like Volleyball, Horse riding, Football, Cricket, Badminton, Table tennis, Kabbadi, Basketball, Carrom, Chess NSS, Horse riding club and others I don't know that much.
