Review-Chitkara University

I applied for a BTech Computer science and engineering at Chitkara University, Punjab. The university has a very nice campus and the faculty is very good and supportive. The university offers various programs in various fields. The minimum marks required to take admission in B.Tech CSE in Chitkara University is 75% in PCM in 12th standard. When I went for the counselling session at the university campus, I was guided brilliantly by the counsellor and other staff. Also, the university offers every tiny bit of facility to every student.

I always had an interest in computer science since school time so I went for B.Tech Computer Science and Engineering at Chitkara University. One class in the university consists of 60 students. The faculty is highly trained and most of them are doctorates and professors. The university conducts weekly tests followed by FAs and semester exams every 6 months which are quite of a good core.

The students with 7.0 CGPA or more and no backlogs get internships from the 3rd Year. Companies like SmartInfo Care Solutions and Studio45Creations provide paid internships to students for the roles such as Web Designer and App Development.

Students become eligible for campus placements after 2nd year or 4th semester. The students must have atleast 7.0 CGPA or above and not a backlog in any of the subjects. More than 500 companies including mass recruiters like Infosys and Wipro visit the university and more than 6000 offers are made. The highest package in my batch was around 45 LPA and average package starts from 5-6 LPA. More than 85% of the students are placed in good companies every year. My plan is to get a good job nearly about 10-12 LPA.

The university offers various programs at a very reasonable cost of study. The program fees for B.TECH CSE is Rs. 82,000 per semester which is quite reasonable as compared to other colleges. Though it does not give any scholarships or any sort of financial assistance. But the thing I liked the most is the various job opportunities and internships which we start getting from the 3rd year onwards.

ALGORYTHM is the annual cultural fest held in the university in the month of October and many more fests and DJ parties are organized throughout the year. The library consists of more than enough books on every subject and they are allowed to be used and issued by the students The classrooms are well furnished and ventilated with central air conditioners. Most of the classrooms are smart classrooms with projectors. The university has a wide sports arena including a gymnasium. It has most of the sports whether indoor or outdoor.

I went for a PG near the university. It is within a 15 minutes walking distance in Rajpura district. It is a well furnished and ventilated room with 2 meals. It costs me about Rs.7000 per month. The environment is quite familiar and nice.
