Remarks

I had applied in bits Pilani and vitee, SRM, Manipal, upes University Dehradun and even I cleared 3 exams out of 4 but this college is best and nearby my house, so I decided to take addmission here, no quota, minimum percentage required is 60 Percent in PCM, I am in BTech computer science.

I chose this course as I love to do coding and I have an interest in computers and even we know the coming era is all about computers, faculty members of this college are good and the student ratio is 50:50.

Internships Opportunities

There is a good opportunity for internship, as in the third year they start providing us opportunities for jobs and internships, and even big companies like Google, Amazon come here to hire the students on various profiles like software engineer, front end developer, back end developer, blockchain engineer, etc.

Placement Experience

According to my knowledge and information percentage of students getting placement is much higher like 80% and even good, my plans after getting a degree firstly to join the job as a software engineer and get experience after some time will open my own startup.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees structure of chitkara University is fine as compared to other colleges or universities, as the fees of the course are eighty-three thousand semesterly, and in other colleges or universities, it is more than 2-3 lakhs.

Campus Life

Chitkara University provides every type of book in the library, they have good sportsmanship as their ground is well maintained and take every round of games or opportunity seriously, there are a lot of clubs but what I liked are bits and bytes.

Hostel Facilities

They provide good facilities in a hostel, the meal is also good, they have a large menu there, their registration process for a hostel is much easier than any of other colleges as they just ask for yes/no.

Placements are really great of our college as its avg pakage is of 11 lac from computer related branches. Girls are eligible in second year for inters and for boys its generally from 3rd year because of the reservations.

Chandigarh University: Is it worth the investment?

Placement Experience:

The student become eligible for campus placements from 5th semester. The companies visited per year are approximately 200. They claim 100% placements but in reality they divide students into placement and non- placement batches called tpp and ntpp. If you slip up even once, you will be debarred from the tpp group. The highest package is 53 LPA. The average package is 4.5 LPA. Companies like JP Morgan, TCS, Capgemini, PlaySimple, Cognizant, Nokia, Philips, Morgan Stanley, PWC, KPMG, EPAM, Watchguard, High radius, OYO, Coding Ninjas, Samsung, etc have already came. More companies are yet to come. Since the student intake is too much, placements are really hard to get since there is too much competition. In the end, people get hired in mass recruitment companies and get minimum pay of 3-4 lpa. My plans are apply for off-campus jobs and start working in corporate after the degree. If I don't get a job, I haven't decided what I will do next.

Placement Experience:

After 4 semester students are eligible for sitting in placements. There are alot of company visiting and alot of them take 2-3 with really good package and some handful with good enough packages of nearly10 lpa and the highest package was i think of in last month was of around 60 lpa . My plans after getting a degree is too work my way through companies to a FAANG Companies

i chose this college over other colleges becuase of its reputation , in recent years Chitkara has made its name whether we talk about placements or any other various field, it has a brand value as a private college its a quite good college,this is slightly a new college that is why boards were the criteria to get admission and other colleges i applied to took admission o the basis of JEE mains and i had not scored that good in it that is why did'nt able to clear the cutoff for my required branch, i applied t o Thapar Institute Of Technology, Patiala , Chandigarh University,Punjab, Amity University, Punjab Chandigarh College of Architecture.. i got confirmation from everywhere but just in Thapar i did not get Computer Science, The elegibility criteria in Chitkara is min aggregrate of 60% in jee mains and 70% in boards then there are several cutoffs on which the branches are given to students...Read More

I choose this college because it have a good placement ratio and packages. Here placements cell heads are helpful and teaches us about how to grab good placement.
