If you are not getting IITs or top NITs and you are passionate for CS/IT branch, then CIC is best

I have applied for Jee mains and jee advanced. I have scored a decent percentile 97.8 in jee main but didn't qualify for jee advanced. I was passionate about CS/IT branch but was not getting in good NITs. My maths is very good that's why I have also given DUET exams and got 27 rank (157 marks out of 400). The counselling process was then taking place very smoothly and the administrators also helped me a lot.

I have chosen this college/department because I was not getting IITs or top NITs. Teachers are well qualified but didn't expect that all the teachers there will teach like the ones who teach you in jee preparation. There are very limited seats. In the whole building, there are only around 200 students of all years in BTech course (only IT branch is available here). Here the midterms exams are not taken but in place of that, we have a semester long project in which we devote our 1 month completely.

As I already mentioned that we have compulsory internships each semester after the first year. So in four years, you will be going to get a lot of industrial exposure. We can also intern under our faculty. Teachers and seniors are very helpful for getting internships.

Here fee structure is nominal. We pay 5000 rupees and 800 examination fees per semester. I think among the reputed colleges only Jadavpur University have less fee than our college. So I don't think any scholarship is needed. We have compulsory internships each semester after 1st year as a subject. So one can learn and earn from their pocket money easily.

Here since the strength of students is very less so only nominal fests are organised but we are part of DU and that's why we can enjoy any fests organising in any college of DU. There is a very large Central library of DU and all types of books are available for our use. There is a university stadium behind our college. Many societies are run by students like robotics.
