Entrance Preview

I attended Kerala state entrance exam and the rank i gained was 19500. I opt for this college only because of my financial crisis and also this college was near to my house. My parents were not in a position to take care of hostel fees and other expenses. So i opt for this college even though i was the first batch in this college.

Course Curriculum Overview

2.5

When i joined the college was under kannur university and the course curriculum was based on the kannur university norms. But now the institute is affiliated to KTU and recognised by All India Council for Technical Education , New Delhi and Govt of Kerala.

Internships Opportunities

There is no internship program in our college. Since the college is very new new companies are not ready to come there.

Placement Experience

0.5

There is no direct placement opportunities available in the college. Since the college is under Nithyananda vidra Kendra trust. The engineering college share the same campus with Nithyanada Polytechnic which having high reputation. So there is placement opportunities available in the polytechnic college which the engineering college students can also avail.

College Events

1

The kannur university kalol savam was conducted in our college during the year 2013. This is the biggest cultural fest comprising of all colleges in north Kerala. Also technical fest was conducted by our juniors in the year of 2014 along with some campus drive program.

Fees and Financial Aid

I completed my studies by an availing education loan of Rs 2,50,000 including laptop and other additional expenses other than tuition fees. College will support to avail loan from any banks. Also fee concession & Scholarship available for Financial Backward Meritorious Students and special fee concession for SN Polytechnic Students.

Campus Life

0.5

The campus was really big comprising of engineering college, polytechnic college and CBSE school which all were under same management. But the infrastructure is too bad for the engineering college. No much facilities were available there. College library is also very small with limited books. Gender ratio is 50:50 in the college and also politics plays a big role in the college.

Hostel Facilities

1

Mess food is of good standard and quality of food is also good. Since i was staying in my home during my college days, i am not sure about the college hostel condition. But from my friends experience i can tell that hostel facilities are very limited. The total expenses including both mess fees and hostel will not exceed more than Rs 8000 per month.

Exam Structure

Exams and labs were conducted as per kannur university norms. But since we were the first batch in the college, labs were not constructed that that time so we used to share the labs of polytechnic college which is in our same campus. But afterwards our own labs were constructed and we all were able to use those labs in our 3rd and 4th year.

Admission

I got the application form directly from college office. I first applied for management quota to book the seat upfront since i was not sure whether i will be selected for counselling in the Kerala entrance exam i attended. But afterwards i got selected for counselling and i selected this college in the allotment process.

Faculty

1

When i was there all the faculties in the college were temporary posting and all were just engineering graduates, only very few were Post graduates. but all of them were having high dedication and commitment. As per my current knowledge all the previous faculties have been changed and all of them currently there are new people.

Placement Experience:

Campus placements are highly volatile taking the stats from over the past three years there has been an up trend as well a down trend, I hope I will get placed through on campus interviews, the highest package of this year was for two graduates who got into IBM with 22 lakhs per aanum, there are few who didn't get into any of the companies while there were others who got int Amazon and other reputated companies, if I do not get into a reputed company through my college on campus placements the. I'll be aiming for higher educations most probably
