Entrance Preview

GATE 2013 with 30.33 GATE Score, Followed by college level counselling. And I opted this college as this is the best college in madhya pradesh.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum was awesome as per my interest. I got to learn a lot their along with the facilities like labs, computers etc. Even The library was too good which has a lot of books for the reference. The institute also had a lot of subscriptions for journals both online and offline which help in making the thesis a lot.

Placement Experience

The placement opportunities were awesome. We got many companies for campus recruitment. Along with good counselling to select the company or field as the career, also the contacts of the facilities also helped us a lot in future in many companies.

Alumni/Alumna

Not had much interaction with the alumni network, but the seniors are very good and had a good knowledge. They help a lot to juniors and are also available to help in any field at any time.

Exam Structure

Exams are held in semester pattern. Five subjects in each semester in the first year along with 3 4 subjects for practical for which vivas are taken. In the final year in ME we have to work for the project to make the thesis and work on the same. Viva of project was held in the end of each semester.

Admission

Notification was released to apply with the gate score. I applied and got admission in the first college level counselling. The administration of the college was very humble and responsive, they cleared all my doubts and counselled me to a very great extent. They helped me in all my problems that i had while admission.

Faculty

The faculties of the college were excellent. Each faculty was holding a Phd degree and are experts in their relevant fields. Each faculty has having a huge experience in their relevant fields and also have a very good experience in the ways of teaching.

The IT course here offers 2 tracks or specializations, one is in "smart mobility systems engineering" and the other is "intelligent information systems engineering". Placement Experience:

The placement starts coming at the end of 6th sem or beginning of 7th. You can expect around 15-20 companies to visit. Recently there have been visits by carwale, quantiphi, cognizant, Cape Gemini, Infosys, Kfintech, TCS. All of them had their packages in the range 6-8 lpa. Highest packages reach around 20LPA for a handful of students as one of a good company might visit Like Intuit, Zscaler, Deustche Bank While obviously some students crack off camps and recieve even better options 60-70 percentage of students can get placed here My plans are doing Masters incase I don't get a good enough job.

There are lots of student apply for placements once in a time few got placed but company like tsc capgemeni took mass hiring from college. In 7 or 8 semesters students was allowed to sit in placemnet. Studnets are placed in company got joinning in short perioud of time abd they also provide offer letter to them. In the placement drives student can be eligible in the last semester of the course and there is no particular company that visit regularly because the college has no tie-ups with the companies but management tries to conduct the placement drives with random companies. who offers a maximum of 180000/year. So every year about 25% students get placed in the placement drives.

SGSITS: JUST A BIG BRAND

I applied for IET davv but I kept it as second preference in MP dte counselling. Other options available for me were some IIITs and lower branches in NITs but I wanted to go for IT sector. Now reason for me for choosing this college was it was slight better than iet and slight lower than IIITs but fees of IIITs was very high, So I didn't applied for them. When I applied for sgsits suddenly they increased their fees. I had no option left other than iet or taking sgsits, but in between confusions and dilemma I choosen sgsits by suggestions of relatives and other elders. Admission process is done through MP dte counselling, based on jee mains rank. Cutoff of general category for IT branch is about AIR 45,000. The college is good in terms of placement and development of students

I have applied to many nits and I got seat in NIT bhopal in electronics and communication branch. But I chose Sgsits cse over nit bhopal ece because I wanted to pursue my career in cse and I have no interest in ece. The admission process of the college is easy . First filling of application through date and then if we get seat we have to report college for the final admission process which is just of 1-2 hours and after fee submission your admission is confirmed.
