An Honest truth of LPU

I did applied for symbiosis pune, chandigarh university, and LPU. I opted LPU because it has major and can say high number of placements every year. It has the record of 100% placement. Also according to any of the exam, either it is LPUNEST or any jee mains or any national test or if you have any sports background, it provides good percentage of scholership, i got around 40% of scholarship, it is of per semester and it is cheap and i have the opportunity to study in the international University where the diversity of international students are high. For getting admission i just logon to the LPU official website it is handy you can also use it easily. After logging in, i got the option for admission, there I selected my course, after that there where 2 main criteria, 1st one was that i should know english and the other one was that atleast 60% marks should be obtained under any state or national board examination. After that i had to select the dates for the entrance exam, and done.

I choose economics as my hons. subject as it provides the basic and main idea of around the fiscal arena of the country. I liked the subject outcomes and job possibility therefore i did choose economics. In LPU faculties are highly educated, around 85% of the professors had done their PhD. Talking about ratio it is not exact but it is around 45:55. They teach from basics, it is good as they make their own PPT and teach from them. Exams are quite not difficult, only we have to make our presence and be attentive in class, it will make you score 80 to 85% without studying in exams. If you make sure all the PPT are with you, then it will be great. The exams are held in 2 parts, mid term and end term. Also students have Continuous assessment which carries the weightage of 25% in the subject.

LPU has its own mall and many startups organization going on there. Student can go and be a member of any organisation as an intern there. Also the companies who come for placement they offer internships too to have a fresher mind. The quality of internship by the university is in average level. But if the student get any opportunity the salary or the stipend they will get is very high and very soothing in numbers.

After 2nd year or 4th semester students have placement exams on which is provided in the pack of 3000 rupees placement kit. In LPU they teach how to study and crack the placement exam, but according to me i can say it is below average kind of teachings. Talking about companies, their are 500+ assured companies comming for the placement of students including amazon, google, tata, and many big companies. If you talk about in campus and off campus placement, it is 100% but if the student does not pass will be included then around 60% of students get placed. After the program i will try to sit in the placement rounds of LPU then will try to get higher education afterwards

Talking about fees, if the student scored good in boards or any national level exam or have any sports achievement, then LPU provides good percentage of scholership to the students, also if they have done naming thing for LPU, they can avail free hostel, mess and many more things inside. The fees are good according to me, as if the kid is active and have good manners then they can also avail good percent 0f scholarship. I got that scholarship by cracking LPUNEST and i did got 40% waiver from the course fees. Today i pay around 28000 to 30000 for a semester. If you study here then it is good that LPU is a paperless University, you have to make sure everything you do is on laptop or any device, also for placement, it has their own cell to cover every student nicely, it costs 3000 for the registration and done.

LPU has more than 250 student run student organization body registered. I am also the part of 2 students organisation and 2 business club society. Talkin about fests, each organization have the minimum limit of 25 event which they have to host in a semester. The events and competetion are regular. Talking about the biggest fest, it happens around in march to may where students have to show there culture and all. Talking about books and journals, LPU have a very widespread library situated inside. Also with the college id you can access the online LPU library free of cost, and it has the big number of books available. Now about classroom, in each room it has AC well fitted and projector for the idea of learning from latest technologies. Some of the students organisation are, Orator, Khoj, Ojaswi and many more.

I did opted for 4 seater non ac room where there are 4 beds, 4 chair and 4 table, 2 big almirahs, attached bathroom, gyser attached, and good quality of facilities are available. Talking about mess the foods are divided into 2 category, fir the north students and for the south students. You can also coustomize it by having your meal for 4 time or for 3 time according to your preference. The quality of meal is below average as compared to price, where the 3 time food cost around 35000 per semester. For availing the hostel facility the process is same, from the LPU dashboard from where you have registered for the admission. The prices are very high, as compared to pg near LPU only. The locality is called as law gate where every kind of rooms will be available according to the needs in good price.
