MGC( FATEHGARH SAHIB) life

My course that is bsc in artificial intelligence and data science is quite demanding and I think this is the only field which is growing faster. Another reason for choosing this was I had huge interest in this field. But faculty,their teaching way and syllabus is too way less as compared to course. They focus more on their rather than the practical work but in this field practical work is more important than theory as theory plays no role in this field . They must reduce the number of mid sem exams conducted and focus more on making students better in practical work. After the starting of semester, just after 25 days when syllabus not even completed as the 1st unit.. they shout spreading the news of exams. We just got too busy in exams which make us feel distracted from our real work .

I am doing Bsc( hons.) AI& DS as a 2nd year student in the mentioned college. I got no scholarships because my parents are doing govt. Job. And for a semester, I pay around 20 k and in even semesters fee is 1 or 2k less. While taking admission, as I have marks above 80% I got the concession of 2000.

So my college don't have many functions, yea but youth fest happens after 4-5 years. And we have two libraries, one special for computer students and another main library for whole college students and some books are not even available in the special library. They run NSS AND NCC as special activities. And they run GIDHA and BHANGRA teams for youth fests and their practice keeps going whole year. In the computer science department,we have Apple labs and other labs and all labs have air conditioners. But in some classes, fans don't even work. Our college students run many platforms on social media as mgc hostel, mgc life and all.

I went of Chandigarh University for admission in b.tech(computer science). But the fee structure is not well. As my parents are govt. Officials I have to pay around 1 lakh 40 thousand (1 yr). But they offer for cuet exam but if I appear for exam and got even 100 they will just reduce around 3-4k but I don't want to spent this much. so I skip the thought of studying there. My another dream was to study in Punjab University Chandigarh but before I apply for exam. the date was expired, so there was no chance and according to my interest this was the only course available in this affordable fee structure and this college is around 17 km from my home. Last is the admission process to take admission in my course all you need is you must have done with the maths subject in (11,12th). And then they ask for your percentage If you have percentage in 12th above 80% you will get 1 or 2 k concession. There is no cutoff in our college. It is well occupied with Students. I think my college will have 9000 + students

If I talked about faculty,they need to make it more better . They place the students that just got passed out as teachers and having no experience. They don't even know how to teach. They do such because expert teachers will ask for more money. In a semester there are 2 mid semester exams before the finals and they are way too difficult. and we are not even done with our syllabus . yet. The best faculties are those who don't make hype on students and behave friendly. Some teachers just show that they are teachers and focus on fashion and making students feel low.. Some teachers that just got passed out at students and become teachers at same college (females) talk good with boys but hate the girls. Which shows which type of character they hold

I never stay at night in college but I am from this area so I can tell this.... We have a lot of cafes and restaurants near our college . We even have gurudwara sahib near college which is world famous . I think girls are not allowed to go out after 4 pm and same for boys.but boys don't behave well in the hostel.the locality is very safe near college as people are out in roads at night 12 pm. college also have mess and two canteens
