Remarks

I applied for this only college for BA LLB as it is a very reputed college and luckily I got admission in it. When I applied for admission I was 17. I availed of OBC quota, under which I got admission with 85% of marks (while the minimum marks required are 50%)The admission process was wholly online. The forms were filled at the university's official website and the merit lists were also announced on the same website. The submission of fees was too online. The required documents (photocopy of 10th mark sheet, 12the marksheet, aadhaar card, Haryana resident certificate, and, original school leaving certificate, original character certificate, original migration certificate, etc. ) were to be sent by post or submitted offline.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

I chose this course because I always wanted to be a lawyer by profession and this college is one of top 30 institutes for studying law in India. Let me tell you it withstands its reputation. The faculty here is very experienced, knowledgeable, supportive, and expert in their respective subjects. The curriculum is the latest as prescribed and makes the student profession ready. The exams are held semester wise and there is a Mid-term in every semester. The midterms are for 10 marks each and semester examinations include projects, presentations, and written theory examinations. Out of a hundred 20 marks are for projects and presentations while 80 marks are for written theory examinations. The pass percentage is 45% or 50%. The students need to qualify in both project and written examinations to be declared passed in that particular subject. The difficulty of written examinations is average. The results are declared somewhat late.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

The internships are provided by the college itself and most of them are with stipends. The internships are under leading lawyers, law firms, and legal advisors. The skills learned during internships include drafting, crafting arguments, and communication skills.

Placement Experience

3

The placements cell is good and the students can apply for placements either in the last semester or the second last semester. Many companies like Infosys, Wipro, and many leading law firms provide placements. The average package is around 3-4LPA. Only good students opt for placements but most of the students skip it. As most of the students either prepare for judiciary examinations or look forward to having a private litigation career.

Fees and Financial Aid

Tuition fees are to be submitted for each semester, or the student can opt to submit the tuition fees for the whole year at once. The fees are to be submitted online through net banking only, no UPI or scan and pay are available. The hostel fees are to be paid yearly and in some circumstances monthly too. The mess fees are to be submitted monthly on the basis of the attendance of the student in the mess. The fee for the whole tear including hostel and mess is around 100000-120000 (may exceed due to recent price hike in hostel and mess fee ). The tuition fee alone is around 70k per year which seems quite reasonable too. Though it is a government university the course itself is a 'self-budgeted course ' due to which fees seem high as compared to MDU. There is no discount in fees for OBC or SC/ST but there are certain scholarships available to apply for which kind of acts like fee waiver. There are no jobs available on campus but an internship program is there for the students.

Campus Life

4

Life in this university is very good. They are events held almost 2-3 events every week. The annual fests invite prominent people like CM, or ministers or governors. The library is very helpful for students and has almost all the books required for the course. The classrooms are quite good. Big in size to accommodate all the students. Almost all the amenities are available, like a wi-fi-enabled campus, a very good computer lab, and a library. Almost all the popular sports are available to the students with trainers. There are many different clubs to join. Overall the environment is very good.

Hostel Facilities

3

Hostel rooms are average. They need some improvements. The student needs to apply for a hostel during the admission process itself. One room is allotted to two and sometimes three students. The roommates can be chosen on request and there is one warden for each hostel. The hostel mess is almost good. The food provided is hygienic. The rates are affordable but a price hike seems to be coming soon.

For BBA.LLB course no batch has yet graduated, and the first batch to graduate is in their last academic year. We are expecting placements to start early this year, and after the graduation of our final batch, we will get a fair idea about the packages to be offered. Although IIM already has well-established placement records for other courses, it is expected to be the same for the law course

i think the students become eligible for placements from the 13th term. our first batch hasn't graduated yet. they are due to graduate in 2026. but certain law firms which have visited our college and have offered internships to our students are Khaitan & Co., Luthra, Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas, IndusLaw. Honestly, I have not decided yet what career i would want to pursue but yes, having a campus placement in hand definitely gives a sense of security. I may pursue an LLM after this or may enter into litigation.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Curriculam is very nice for the law subjects but for the BA subjects it can be very tiring at times. Like same concepts are repeated again and again in various subjects. E.g- Often what taught in Pol Science is same to what is taught in History, so it can be repetattive on some occasions.
