Remarks

The admission process was amazing. College took care of all the convenience. I applied for many colleges like COEP, VIT, Walchand, VJTI, PICT, etc. but couldn't clear the cutoff. The cutoffs in SGGS are a bit low as not many students apply here. The reason behind this could be it is not in a huge city. But as it is a government autonomous college the cutoffs are not even that low. Plus this college has an Amazing campus, pleasant environment, and huge infrastructure. College provides amazing placements. In 2021 the 20 LPA was the highest package offered in campus interviews. As this college comes under the Maharashtra government, you get a lot of quotas such as NT, SC, ST, OBC EWS, TFWS, and management quota. About minimum marks, for CS/IT you should score at least 96 percentile in MHT-CET if you are from the OPEN category.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

I love computers, software programming. Plus it has a lot of opportunities nowadays. You get a decent job if you work on your skills in this field. The faculty in SGGS is amazing. There are teachers for individual subjects. Most of them are well qualified. Lots of them are Ph.D. in their respective subjects. The teaching methods they use are also amazing. I have been attending online classes ever since I joined due to the pandemic. You don't feel like you are missing out on something in online mode. Teachers take care of that. They make you feel like in the classroom. There are two main exams(mid-term and end-term) in each semester. The college also conducts ISEs for internal evaluation. Exam level is not that hard. One may easily score 8+ CGPA if one prepares well.

Internships Opportunities

4

The college also provides internship opportunities. There is a summer internship program conducted in May and June by the institute. Every branch students get internships through college. The college takes about a 10k fee for internships. It provides all the accommodation and travels facilities throughout the internship period.

Placement Experience

4

The college provides decent placements. The average placement you get here is 4.5 to 5 LPA. In 2021, the highest placement of 21LPA was provided by Goldman Sachs. The college is getting better placements every year. The college is now being recognized all over the country, so more and more companies are coming to college every year.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee is not that high as it is a government college. For open it is 84000 and for OBC is 42000. Hostel fee and mess are 30000. the college provides all the scholarships allowed by the government. As I haven't attended the college physically, I can't say anything about the stipend.

Campus Life

5

The campus life in SGGS is the best, even better than the so-called renowned colleges in Maharashtra. There are so many annual functions like Pragya, zenith, Utsav and you really enjoy them. Zenith is an annual sports event in SGGS. Believe me, the competition is really tough to win the medal and trophy. SGGS has lots of clubs. There is a club for each of your hobbies and interest. The clubs are well managed and equipped. You get amazing guidance from seniors and guests to develop your personality.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

The hostels are amazing in SGGS. You feel at home in there. It has all facilities you may hope for. But the biggest concern about the hostel is that there are not enough seats for every student. You have to compete to get a hostel seat. You can easily apply for a hostel through a hostel office or website (onlinesggs.in). But there are a lot of accommodation facilities available outside the campus such as hostels and PGs. Overall hostels and mess are affordable and well equipped.
