I applied for DTU only and availed the OBC quota. THe admission criteria was smotth and completely online and the submission and checking of documents was completely online. The maximum rank for EE in OBC was 190000 in 10th round.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course is a bit difficult and detailed as compared to others. Since this is an evergreen course and has wide scope in various industries that's why I chose this course. The faculty here is highly qualified and trained. The teaching method currently online is through presentations and some teachers use the writing tablets and explain on it. The term exams were monthly and were easy to pass with consistent studying.
Internships Opportunities
Various companies such as amazon, microsoft, atlassian, google, texas industries, samsung, JP morgan, etc. offered internships under many tech roles, management roles, etc. THe stipends were offered as high as 2lacs and with average stipend of 25k-30k p.m.
Placement Experience
The placements are good and anyone with skils manage to get a good package in big companies. Most companies let the students of all branches to sit in the placements and even the students of core branches manage to bag big offers from big tech companies like amazon, google microsoft, atlassian , etc. THe highest international package offered this year was 1.02cr LPA and the highest domestic package was 51.7 LPA. I plane to compete for campus placements after my degree. &th semester students become eligible for campus placements. Around 1200 ofers wer made this year. almost 90% of students managed to get placements.
Fees and Financial Aid
In online and with the services provided in the online semester, the fees is totally not justified. In the pandemic, we weren't given any concession in the fees. Although some students were provided with the scholarship the criteria were not justified for all.
Campus Life
online till now, it has not been possible to organize any fests but from what I have heard it, the fests are very lively and completely must attend. Library provides a huge plethora of books in various fields and is very big and provides a good environment to study, is fully AC and well equipped. Campus life here is best at DTU as seniors say and from what I have experienced. Many clubs, teams and societies are here run by students and are for everyone's interests. The college has various outdoor and indoor courts and a fully maintained cricket pitch also. The greenery in DTU is very well maintained and a huge amount is spent over it.
