Remarks

Admission in this college for mass communication course totally depends on two factors, first marks or ranks score in the entrance exam conducted by IP university and the second factor is marks score in 12th level exam. Every college conduct various round of counseling depends on their seat availability. I have visited other colleges also but finally i have decided to take admission in FIMT only. Counselors were very helpful and they have explained about college and courses very well which help me to select college easily.

Course Curriculum Overview

I choose to study bachelor of mass communication because i want to further build my career as a news reporter in a media house. I don't know about other courses faculty but yes they have the best faculty for the BJMC course. All faculty members are highly qualified, skilled and minimum 5 year of teaching experience also. The college invites guest faculty also for BJMC students from top media houses of the country.

Class Size: 40Course Fees: INR 7000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The cost of study in FIMT is a bit expensive as compared to another college of IPU but i find it value for money because they provide quality of education and the infrastructure of the college is also very good. My course fees were around rupees 70000 per year. Yes, colleges provide scholarship facility but you need to follow many procedures.

Campus Life

Classrooms are very air conditions and all classrooms has well connected as smart classrooms also. The classroom has big projector also to explain the topic through video. For BJMC student college for setup of studio room also which helps to get practical knowledge about media house. College conduct every year fresher party in an august month. College celebrates sports days and annual days also every year. FIMT has different dance, drama, music, and cultural society.

Students become eligible from 4th year to sit in placements. Famous companies like NDTV, News 24 , India today, ABVP,etc comes for placement. Highest package was 1200000 per annum and 300000 per annum is average package. Profiles offered are reporter,research executives, content creator, anchor, field reporter,etc I will go for anchoring after completing the degree.

Placement Experience:

The placement cell of our college is functional and active. The chances depend on the course that you have opted for. The placements are really good for commerce, economics, Maths, Stats but for the other department's students it might be a bit challenging to find a company of their domain. The students become eligible to sit in placement from 5th semester. The companies that visit my college are Godrej, BCG, McKinsey, Nation with Namo, Blackstone, Accenture, KPMG, EY, citibank, microsoft and Amazon etc.

The Glimpse of DSJ

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate my course four out of five because in journalism is a field where people are not about so much. The main stream media does not show the real problems and challengs of the country. They live in a bubble of their own. Many of the times they provide miss information to the people which hurts the hearts of the people. They do not cover multiple aspects of media. The exams in the daj is not so hard you can easily pass it by just 4 to 5 days of preparation.

This Collage is not so good. I got really a average rank In IPU CET ( 3k ) There are 3 ways through you can take admisson > IPU CET - most Convinent and easy - most of the paper work is done by IPU and FIMT > CUET - Can take admisson thorugh cuet - have to do the paper work and have to do the registration to IPU afterwards - Paper work is mostly done by FIMT > Direct admisson - Admisson is done on basis of 12th subject streem and percentage due to low rank i couldn't get admisson in other collages...Read More
