I applied for Chemical Technology (Plastics and Polymer Technology) in Laxminarayan Institute of Technology, Nagpur after qualifying MHTCET with 96%ile. The cutoff for my branch was 95%ile in the general category. Regarding admission process, some details, documents and MHTCET result was required.
Course Curriculum Overview
I wanted to achieve something in this field and the professor and faculty are highly qualified with brilliant teaching skills. The faculty and student ratio is 1:14. Exam difficulty is medium and a minimum of 40% required to pass the examination.
Internships Opportunities
Polymer, explosives or research based chemical industries generally offer internships in the sixth semester. Internships generally provides technical knowledge, laboratory skills and industrial knowledge.
Placement Experience
From the seventh semester, several companies/industries like Reliance, Thermax, Plasto visit the campus to recruit students. After qualifying the placement criteria most of the students get a place through campus selection while the rest of the students also get placed through off-campus.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure varies for students as per category and criteria, which range between 8k to 26k per year. I didn't apply for any kind of Scholarship but depending on category and criteria there are scholarships available for students.
Campus Life
LITMAN, REACT and GFC is the main three of the Institute. There are several books and journals of different authors. Cricket, football and Volleyball are mostly played and participate in tournaments. Comm. skill, music, dance and some technical clubs are there on the campus.
Hostel Facilities
Boys Hostel is available on the campus inconvenient for students (Boys) with properly maintained rooms. Mess available provides nutritious food Hostel fee is Rs 2000 per year while Mess fee is near about Rs 2000 month.
