Remarks

I got admission through Management Quota, but students can also apply through the CGDTE website. Students will get a call from the officials as soon as their application is passed (this applies only to people who filled the CGDTE form). Other students will have to be present on the counseling day with proper documents as asked by the officials.

Course Curriculum Overview

I was interested in Civil engineering as most of the members of my family have completed this course so there is enough guidance in the home itself. My uncle is an architect so I will be working alongside him in the business. Professors are good and know how to handle students. Two class tests take place in 6 months and after that semester exams are taken (difficulty level:- average)

Class Size: 31Course Fees: INR 85000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

ST, SC, OBC students can apply for scholarships through the national scholarship portal and others can get scholarships based on their previous academic excellence. Campus placements take place after the 6th semester.

Campus Life

Books are easily available in the library. Students can issue books through the college library card. Sports activities take place frequently as heard by the seniors( because I haven't visited the college offline because of Covid). I am currently with the Kodachrome club and NSS.

BIT DURG a 3.5/5 college

Placement Experience:

To be honest placement scenario is not really good. One becomes eligible for placement in the final year. Companies like cognizant used to visit the college for mass recruitment but after covid even they are not visiting. But few startups visit every year. The highest package this year was 12 lpa ctc. And avg 6 lpa. Only 30 percent get placement. My plan is to do M TECH.

Placement Experience:

From 7th semester we can sit in interviews but the companies are far too less, like in last year only 6 companies came to campus at all, with an average package of ?3,00,000 and about 15 students got placed from Entire BTech, like 15 out of 500 students that too for sales roles

The alumnis of the college are well settled in top companies around the world. The placements currently are not that good. Average package is only 3.5 LPA but the students take off campus placement and achieve really good packages in top companies.

Somehow good government college with minimal facilities

As I've mentioned above the management is worse but the teaching system is good. The director is a piece of shit a bald cunt. He did not even know what he was doing. He was a non cooperative asshole. All he did was snoooe around in classes and intimidated teachers. All in one it is a good college to tak admission in.

As I was not totally aware about BIT Raipur till the time I got into the college people in cities do have a good image of BIT raipur as a best college through a decade because, BIT Durg is the parent institute of BIT Raipur so it do have a good image because of that and if you just want to study and explore yourself you can get admission in this college.
