D.Y.Patil college of engineering and technology is am autonomous college with good campus placement opportunities. It has good teaching staff and the college is even known for conducting big cultural events. For admission in this college the student should have his group qualified with 50% in 12th and should have scored good Mark's in JEE or MHTCET exams.

Course Curriculum Overview

I am good with physics and mathematics and I have and intrest in additive manufacturing so I choose mechanical engineering. The college teaching faculty is nice. Passing the Shivaji University exams is not very tough. It just requires a proper practical knowledge and understanding of the subject.

We can apply for internships from Second year of college. And as it is an autonomous college there are good companies coming for placement drives. We can apply for jobs from the 7th semester. The highest salary is 7.5 lpa and average is 3.5 lpa . I'm looking for a job in a core mechanical company after my engineering degree.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fees per year are 1 lakh INR. There is EBC scholarship for students with agricultural background and yearly income of about 3 to 4 lakhs. The fees are less for BC, OBC, SC, ST and other scheduled costs. The campus placement for the college is good. With minimum package of 2.5 to maximum of 7.5 lpa .

Every year there is Arpan contest with conducts various technical as well as non technical events. Alumni talks, webinars, workshops are even arranged. Sports week is also there. There are various social and technical clubs like the Rotract club, Tifan, gocart club.

Placement Experience:

The Placement Cell is responsible for the placement process. It is not very streamlined. Getting a job is considered tough, usually, the student has to search for it themselves. The average package offered is about 4 Lakhs which is okayish. Usually, students go for masters in Europe which is one of the best options. About 40 people apply for placements out of 180 students and out of that about 20-30 get placed.
