Course Curriculum Overview

I have chosen Aerospace Engineering because I had curiosity that how aircrafts fly and wanted to know how it works and all.The Profs are so good in teaching and they are all highly qualified. All had done their PhD in their field and method of teaching is truly understandable. IIT-Bombay has a student-faculty ratio of 14:1.Per semester, there are two main exam, i.e. Midsem which held at the end of first half of the semester and Endsem held at end of 2nd half of the semester and and also weekly quizzes. So that the student must have the grip in the courses. If a Student knows the concept, he/she can score a nice percentage.

Placement Experience

As far as I know and talked to seniors, placements starts in 7th or 8th semester. Placements started for this year(2020-21) from the month of December, inviting 18 companies, including Google, Texas Instruments, Qualcomm, Boston Consulting Group, Microsoft, Apple, Bain and Company. These companies were also among the highest packages for domestic jobs to the final year students. Optiver made the highest international offer to IIT Bombay placement 2020. The highest package offered was Rs 1.63 crore per annum by Sony Japan. If we check IIT Bombay official website, they mentioned around 85% campus placements for Btech and 94% for Mtech for 2020 year.My plans after getting the degree is to go for campus placement. Otherwise I will be applying for ISRO.I asked to rate the seniors for Placement Rating, they gave 9/10.
