Remarks

K J was the best option to opt for, out of all the other options. 225 was the cutoff for NMAT, with no cap on minimum age. Register for all the qualifying exams, prepare well for them. Choose your field of interest in the stream. The admission process was in the following order, CAPI, Merit list, Confirmation.

Course Curriculum Overview

I had an Inclination towards Retail Management, and this college offered the same so I was inclined to choose this specialisation. 1:1 gender ratio. 1:1 engineering and non engineering Ratio. Mostly all of them are masters and Doctorate holders. There is a total of 6 trimesters in total. So in a gap of around 3 months, each trimester exams take place.

Internships Opportunities

aThere is 100 percent placement in the summer internships too. There are a lot of companies that visit the campus for summer internship opportunities. All the top companies come for the placements. All the companies are almost similar in summer internships as well final placements.

From the 2nd year itself, students are eligible for placements. Around 175 companies visit for the final placements. There is 100 perecent placement in the college. The average package was around 9.4 lakhs and the highest was around 29.75 lakhs.

Fees and Financial Aid

16.29 lakh is the academic fees for two years. For the hostel, it will cost you around 5 lakhs including mess. Financial assistance is provided by the college, it has mostly 2 options. One is a financial need based scholarship. The second is the Covid aid scholarship.

Campus Life

Melange is Conducted in February. It is the business fest of our College. Many other flagship events are also hosted by different branches of the college. There are a total of 29 clubs and committees.

Hostel Facilities

Hostels are yet to reopen so we don't have clarity on that part. Hopefully considering the guidelines by BMC and the Central government the hostel will be opened soon. It is triple sharing in nature with an attached bathroom. We also have double sharing but that is reserved only for NRI'S.

Interview Experience

There was no GD. I was given a case Case Analysis round, Interview questions majorly revolved around my engineering. I took coaching from private and prepared for the same. Be informed about the current happenings around the world by reading newspapers.

Not a dream college but a real one

Placement Experience:

The placement scenerio at our caollege can be described as average overall. Most recruiting company belong to the banking and supply chain sectors. Marketing students generally have better placement opportunities, while finance and HR students do get job, though the package are not very high. Buswiness analytics has limited scope as very few companies visit the campus for the roles in that domain.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for placements after completing 2nd semester and entering in 3rd semester. Attendance is compulsory for getting the opportunity for placements. The companies like IDBI Bank, HDFC Bank, Property pistol, Godrej Capital are available for placements. The highest paid package is 9.75 for sales and marketing. Till now( 3rd semester) 60% to 70% students are placed. There are more opportunities for sales and marketing as compared to other fields.

Promising campus with room for better faculty.

Placement Experience:

After sem 4 we get final placement companies in the campus there are total 200 plus companies come to the campus till september to november almost 35 companies already come to the campus. The companies are ICICI, HDFC, RISHAB WORLD, INSYNC, DENSTU, ITC, BHARAT ELECTRONICS, CORDELIA CRUISE, MORNING STAR, NOMURA, NYKA, NAUKRI.COM. the highest package was given by a company name bharat electronics for HR specialization is 12 lakhs per annum. Almost in my time there 35percent get placed. I plan after degree is first 3-5 yrs in corporate lufe then after own business.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I did choose this course as I am genuinely interested in management and if it is healthcare management that makes me excited. There is a different teaching faculty for each and every subject. The faculties are highly qualified market professionals and experts who teach in an extremely interactive and practical way. They are very supportive. There was one exam conducted per semester which included projects and written exams.

Good post graduate program with strong cirriculum

Remarks:

Overall, I would say that I think this is a very unique course being offered by SP Jain and they are very strict with the submission timelines and quality of work. This is definitely is not a run off the mill part time MBA. The institute makes sure you sweat to earn your degree, respectfully!

THE TRUTH ABOUT KJ SOMAYA

The selection criterion includes cut-off cleared scores of CAT/ XAT/ CMAT/ NMAT/ GMAT, a GD-PI round, past academic records and work experience if any.
