Remarks

The college technically had no counseling day but yes the staff was helpful when you need help they were there to help you with the admission-related queries. They provide in an elaborate manner like they put to notice and you need to read all the notices in respect to the admin related stuff but definitely don't tell you about which documents you need to keep it with you (Xerox copy) for any further admin related work or any further requirement for getting some scholarship and different money return that you paid during the first year as a security deposit. Also when you are filling admission form please if you are from Uttar Pradesh or from Bihar and fall under the open category then also click on Yes you belong to a minority because this college has 50 reservations for the Linguistic minority and all people who are from Uttar Pradesh and Bihar falls under that at the time of document upload action you just need to upload performa "O" and during actual admission you just need to give an affidavit.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

A good course curriculum now because now the college has gained the status of autonomous college and basically they themselves are designing the curriculum and are actually trying to match the level of the renowned institute of the India and also are trying to motivate students to go for different courses like Udemy, Coursera, NPTEL ( which is run by different IIT's of the India and you can get single credit for single course and multiple courses are allowed in a semester) so that a student can get a wide range of knowledge also they motivate students to participate in various competitions like HPVC (HUMAN POWERED VEHICLE CHALLENGE) organized by ASME (AMERICAN SOCIETY OF MECHANICAL ENGINEERS), SUPRA, BAHA, BAJA (organized by Society of Automotive Engineers) but you won't get respect as a student until you win the competition and principal is not at all supportive like for such national level competition students pay money from their own pocket but college is only concerned with results.

Internships Opportunities

2.5

There are multiple internship offers and if you don't get an internship outside don't worry college will arrange in-house internship but the main issue is that I haven't seen anyone getting the paid internship that is the internship with a stipend so keep that in mind and try to arrange an internship from outside on your personal contacts and yes college does allow that. Yes, I have done a lot of projects like we have participated in a Competition named ASME (AMERICAN SOCIETY OF MECHANICAL ENGINEERS) HPVC(HUMAN POWERED VEHICLE CHALLENGE) ASIA PACIFIC for 2 consecutive years 2019 & 2020 as a part of team Photon and for both years we were winners for 2019 we were first in Design event and for 2020 overall First but the college didn't give us a single penny and we spent the entire amount from our pocket.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees are constantly increasing because now the college has gained the status of autonomous status and are planning to go for deemed university when you talk about fees policy at the time of admission you just need to pay some 1000 Rs (for the second year onwards ) and 1500 Rs for the first year in the name of student council but if you calculate all the student's money and see at the activities done by the council you don't get to see the worth of money and also after being pass out you need to pay 1500 Rs as an alumni fees that's just another way of doing business. You can get different scholarships like if you score well you can get TFWS benefit (Tuition fees waiver Scheme - your approximately 90% fees gets waived off) then you have EBC scheme in which your approximately 40% fees are waived off and these schemes are by Government of Maharashtra so a maximum of students get but provided you satisfy all the criteria given in the list for the eligibility and College helps you in getting those benefits.

Campus Life

4

There are varieties of college fest that take place ZEPHYR the biggest Technical Fest of Thakur engineering College it's only Technical Fest by name it's Actually a gaming Fest because a lot of games are there conducted around sept Books are available in Library and Librarian is quite helpful but during exam time there is a shortage of books so you need to plan wisely which books to be borrowed when and when to reissue the book. The classroom has Ac, projector and good lighting facilities and separate benches for each individual good hygiene and washroom are also maintained on hygienic conditions. One has an adequate opportunity for extracurricular activities like it has technical bodies for each department and some even have 2 bodies also has a variety of social bodies that helps you to develop a good personality and a greater sense of responsibility towards society. All are run by students but do have a teacher as a supporting organ and helps students to gain good management.

The names of the Top companies that have recruited students from my college include Adobe, Amazon and Mastercard. The placement percentage from the past few years has been above 90%.
