Detailed review of MSU Baroda

My first preference was always MSU , Baroda and luckily I got admission in it .You can apply for UG program after completing 12th and to get admission through general quota in MSU in core fileds you have to secure good marks . I have got admission through EWS quota . And all the admission procedures are done through ACPC only . In case of any document issue you have to go to LD College , Ahemdabad which is the main ACPC centre . At my time , there was a seminar organised by ACPC in my city where they had explained each and every detail minutely . For example how to do choice filling, documents which are required , important dates . And also all the details are available on its website .

I have developed my interest in civil engineering since I was in 10th. I like to read and know about new technologies which are used to build different marine and land structures. I saw reviews about MSU on internet I was quite eager to study there. Most of the faculty of our branch has either completed their PhD or masters from well known colleges and there are enough facilities. In this pandemic, it is not possible for them to call us to college for practical. So they shoot videos of experiment in college lab only and show us in our lab periods or they show related YouTube videos so that we can visualize what the actually experiment is !! There is an internal in each semester except first two. And end semester exam in each semester. Believe me they are not very easy, you must have good understanding and through knowledge of that subject to secure good score. First semester is common for every engineering branch in our faculty.

From 7 th semester students become eligible for campus interview. Companies which have visited : SPCL TATA CONSULTING ENGINEERS(TCE) L & T ADANI PRODAIR AIR PRODUCTS ESSAR CONSTRUCTION GEO DESIGNS BECHTEL Highest package - 8 lacs per annum Average package - 3 to 4 lacs per annum Average 60 to 70% students get admission. Students who get average more than 60 % have more chances for placement. I want to do master after graduation.

College receives fees in just one installment and it is 8590 INR. But in this pandemic time, they have divided it into two parts. And it less than earlier. In first installment 4220 INR and in 2nd installment 2070 INR. In offline mode, scholarships like MYSY, Digital Gujarat were valid and for hostilities food bill scholarship is also available. From my point of view, it is better to get off campus job in our branch.

They are mainly 4 fests - Prerna, Footprints, Paramarsh and junoon which are held one by one during a year. Days like red day, sari and kurta day are celebrated. MSU is really huge. Several copies of books are available and journals are also available. Projectors are provided in classes. Laboratories and drawing labs are there. Most of the instruments are machines which are necessary is there. MSU Baroda is really a huge university and faculty for performing arts, social work, law and so many others are avaliable. So there is a pavilion for sports activitie.Any important functions or events are held in main faculty which is faculty of Arts and Commerce Auditorium. Students have created one google drive in which they upload their materials for juniors. And website is available in which previous years papers and materials are available. MSU vision is established by alumni of our faculty encourage students for startups by providing them technical and financial aids.

Projectors are there in classroom apart from that there are not much facilities available. There is a canteen and Nascafe in our faculty. Canteen's food taste and quality is depend on the person who has got contract for that. Hostel for girls and boys are different. Fees are nominal which 7000 INR per year. And in the first year 10000 INR are taken in which 3000 INR is as deposit. There are 4 halls in girls hostel. Common room and mess are there. PGs are easily available near college. But area is conjusted. Registration process charge is also nominal.
