Remarks

I applied to several colleges including one in my own city, Jagran College Kanpur. Other than that I applied to Delhi University, IPU, Amity University, Noida and Amity University, Lucknow. I selected English honours as my course because I love to know about the history of English literature and I like to read and write a lot. The admission process was different for every university, I am now a student of Amity University, Noida so I will share the experience of this university. I filled a form where I shared all my details including my 10+2 results. The minimum mark required in my course is 50% so I was applicable for the interview process. In the interview, I was asked a few questions related to my course and intelligence and it went smoothly. The staff of Amity is very kind and helpful and they cleared all my doubts whenever I contacted them. This is also one of the reasons why my interview went well.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

I selected this course because of my passion for reading and writing and my interest in English literature and language. I always wanted to know everything about literature and how it evolved and passed through various generations. Old literature amazes me more than new literature. My faculty consists of a programme leader, a mentor, several other teachers and the head of the institution. I can contact any teacher without hesitating when I have a query related to their department or subject because of how understanding and polite they are. The faculty is undoubtedly highly qualified, most of the teachers have a PhD and also years of excellent teaching experience. As my classes have just started, no exam has been conducted yet.

Internships Opportunities

4

As mentioned earlier, my classes have just started and so the process of providing the students with internships or conducting exams have not yet started. Amity takes internships very seriously as it is an important process for the students.

Placement Experience

4

Placements in Amity is great because Amity offers really good job placements to the students. After completing my college degree I intend to complete my masters in English honours. Amity also provides various internship opportunities to the students. Amity students can get up to 6.5 lacs worth packages.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees structure is reasonable keeping in mind the quality of education, opportunities and services Amity provides to its students. Anyone can apply for scholarships if they are eligible, students who score more than 93% In class 12 get 100% scholarships. The fee structure for my course i.e BA English Honours is 66,000 per semester and it increases by 5% every year. Campus jobs and placements provided by Amity is very good however it obviously depends on how much a student scores in their exam. Before the start of the session, Amity conducts an aspirational survey where they ask about the needs and future plans of the student so that they can prepare a unique schedule for them to help them in the preparation of achieving their goal.

Campus Life

3.5

Due to Covid, the classes have been online since the start and the students haven't got the chance to experience campus life. But every student is eagerly waiting for the condition to get better so that they can experience their campus life. As heard from seniors, campus life at Amity is amazing and full of opportunities and experiences.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum at Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) is well structured, relevant, and comprehensive. One of the main reasons I chose this course was its balanced syllabus, which includes both theoretical concepts and practical applications. The curriculum is designed in a way that builds a strong foundation in core subjects while also introducing advanced topics gradually. This helps students understand subjects deeply rather than just studying for exams.

i have always shown interest in psychology and this was a force which pulled me here to study psychology. i would suggest some aspects of improvement like more real life study instead of just learning stuffs from the book. real life experinces and situations makes a student to connect and understand those topic more clearly. practical subject examination are of about 50 marks 2 papers and non practical subject of 70 marks 2 set of paoer each. i have also given an internal examination of around 25 marks for pract and 30 for non pract 1hr exam. sem exam of 2 hr each paper
