Remarks
I have only applied to the University of Delhi. As a have scored a decent score I was pretty sure I would get admission here. I have taken admission in this college after reviewing the college faculty, environment, tec. from my peers which was quite fascinating. For getting into AMV for B.com.(Hons.) you require a percentage around 82-90%. The admission process was quite smooth. Seniors were guiding the students coming up for admission. The admission process hardly takes 4-5 days. The orientation programme was also organized by the college for counseling the students and make them familiar with the institution.
Course Curriculum Overview
As I have been always keen on learning accounting and finance, I thought B.Com(Hons.) would be a good choice for getting into the insights of these domains. The faculty ratio is quite good. The teachers are well qualified, extremely helpful, and kind towards students. They prepare to deal with all the problems. They not only provide theoretical knowledge but also conduct practicals, webinars, conferences, etc. As the college comes under the University of Delhi, therefore the syllabus is almost the same as the other colleges. Semester exams are average and the pass percentage is moderate.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure is affordable, ranging around 15K-18K for the whole course. You have to pay 5K-6K every year and an examination fee per semester which is around 510-710Rs. There are fewer opportunities for scholarships, though the students securing 1st rank in the year will be given scholarships and prizes as well.
Campus Life
There are many cultural and annual fests organized here such as UTSAV, Vanijyam (commerce fest), etc. which are usually organized in the month of Jan-march. Various competitions such as poster making, T-shirt painting, Rangoli making, singing, dancing are held occasionally. The library is quite spacious and books are also available in abundance. Classrooms, Labs are decent. There are various societies, clubs & committees such as sports society, commerce society, etc. Extracurricular activities are usually organized for the students to showcase their talents.
