Remarks

Firstly I applied for too many colleges during cap rounds and then I got Lr Tiwari college in the third round but since it was too far I started looking for other colleges. Then I went to St. Francis Institute of Technology in Borivali west for the query of offline admission thereafter looking at the eligibility criteria that is the MHT CET marks and HSC percentage. I got 78 in CET and 70.46% in HSC. After submitting additional documents Domicile, Marksheet etc my admission process was done.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

The reason for choosing Electrical engineering was since it is a core branch and gets multiple options further to go in like IT, CS etc. In St. Francis each class has around 65-70 students and for each subject faculties are appointed who are well versed with that subject and well trained in teaching field. Facuties in St Francis are Highly Qualified. My personal experience with teachers was extremely good. They not just teach the syllabus but also give the practical knowledge by conducting various experiments and also by sharing some of their personal experiences regarding that topic. They guide us at each and every point and we can approch them for any subject related quieries, teachers are always ready to clear our doubts and St Francis is mainly known for strictness but honestly this has helped me a lot in learning discipline and being punctual. There are two Internal Assessment tests, 6-7 assignments, 8-9 tutorials and module vise descriptive test for each subject.

Internships Opportunities

5

We get various internship opportunities from the college. Me being in the electrical branch I got an internship in Adani Ltd. It was an unpaid 6 days internship where we learned power flow in detail and also got an internship in railways even this was an unpaid 16 days internship. And we also get to perform different projects under the guidance of teachers.

Placement Experience

5

From the 7th semester, students become eligible for campus placements. Once the 7th semester is started we started getting emails from different companies for placements. Till now Zesus, Wipro, LTI, Capgemini, Hexaware and TCS are the companies that visited at the start of the 7th semester with around 5L- 8L packages. And many of us are getting placed considering an approx average of 47% from one branch are getting placed in college placements and every detail regarding placements we keep getting emails and also various sessions are conducted to guide us regarding placements. Different companies have different eligibility criteria of their own and if we match those then we have to clear 3-4 rounds that are aptitude test, coding test, technical interview and personal interview rounds. If we can clear those rounds we get a chance to work with that company after we pass out from college.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees for Electrical engineering is 1,07,236.00 per year and they never provide an instalments policy to pay fees but during covid they allowed us to pay fees in instalments of 50%, 30% and 20% in three consecutive months. There are some scholarship programs and fees are reduced for OBC students. I wasn't included in these categories so have the least idea regarding this but I only know that these benefits are provided by our college.

Campus Life

4.5

St Francis has a wonderful campus, it has the enormous botanical garden at the entrance and then comes the basketball court which has a stage attached to the other side, then it has a large quadrangle area with canteen and it has 2 buildings and which includes several classrooms, practical labs, Library, seminar halls, Reading room, computer labs, Games room etc. The library is very good it has technical learning books along with many novels, motivational books and Magazines etc. Every classroom has proper benches, tables, blackboard, projector etc and This college also conduct IVs every year and in February college organizes IRIS fest for college students which includes various sports competition like football, basketball, carrom, chess, throwball etc. Christmas party, freshers, send off, DJs and various other fun activities are organized. And there are various committees like ISTE, IEEE, ITSA, NSS etc which conducts various technical and non technical workshops.

Other Applied Colleges

LR Tiwari Degree college | EXTC

Because it was too far from the place where I stay and found St. Francis college more convenient.
